No, and only a complete heartless moron with no honor would think so. We, for whatever reason, right or wrong, have caused too much damage in Iraq to just leave. We MUST clean up our mess.
If you go to someone's house and make a mess, do you just leave it for them to clean up? You shouldn't!!! It is as easy as that.

Impossible to withdraw right away. Stupid to withdraw right away, but the US needs to think of something fast. They are losin cities everyday to a different militia group. They just lost Al-Sadr last week. The US is losing Afghanistan to warlords and to the resurgence of the Taliban.
I think the US need to 'talk' with Iran and Syria. That just might save the Middle East. Right now, Iraq is a hot bed for every moron who wants to take a pot-shot at the US.
Funny how the US attacked Iraq when the 911ers were mainly Saudis and now the BBC just released that Saudi extremist are part of the 'insurgency' in Iraq.

Right away equals the following: Drop everything and head out of town. This may include helicopter rescues from the us embassy. The terrorists win. Any Iraqi that helped Americans will be killed, tortured or worse. Iraq will be taken over by Iran, Syria, Turkey and Al quaeda as a bonus. The entire middle east will be in upheaval. But the socialists in europe will smile. Kiss my a...

To even think of such a thing is border line inhumanity...The states caused the chaos in the middle east, now its up to the americans to finish it. If you believe that BUSH was the man for the job when you first voted and believed his bullcrap that the Iraqis needed liberation, then you must also realise that it was because of your vote that they are now in the state of chaos. The states ATTACKED iraq...and was proven that bush lied to the world to do so... unfortunately it was the americans who dropped the eggs on the floor and even more unfortunately the rest of the world has to clean it up....again
Think of the HATRED the US is going to gain after they leave everything in ashes and walk away and forget that anything ever happened. you think americans are hated now....just wait till the world gets the cleaning bill.....Just like Afghanistan...the states started a war there and left... and now the canadians and the rest of the world are in there loosing troops trying to clean up yet another american mess...some polititian must have figured out that the profits were less than the payouts....If one thing i have come to learn, its that the americans no matter what good they claim they are doing for the world or themselves for that matter are only involved for profit.

NO, the US has wreaked so much havoc over there, and established itself as the "stabilizer"--it's kind of like when somebody gets stabbed in the heart with a big knife--if you take the knife out right away the victim could bleed to death. It would be better not to get stabbed, but unstabbing is a messy business. As long as the Republicans can confuse everyone and fumble around not coming up with an exit strategy, there will be no exit strategy.

Being retired military I KNOW we cannot leave in 48 hours. Couldn't physically load the planes and ships in that time frame. That's saying leaving everything behind ! Just this am the news stated that the Puppet Pres. of Iraq wants us off the streets and let the Iraq Army take over. lol. Leave as soon as possible is better. Leave some of our stuff for them to rummage through to prevent them from shooting at us as we leave. Give them a copy of the Magna Carta in their language and return in 900 ears.

I think that they should come home. The assholes that ****** up the towers didn't stick around to clean up the mess now did they? So i think that we shouldn't. My husband has been deployed twice and was over there for a yr each time and they are wanting to send him back. I just think that they ALL need to come home NOW!!!!! By the way the military can have less then 48 to deploy.

Yes they should, It did not take us 3-5 years to get into Iraq. So it should not take us that long to get out of there. The Army deploy to Iraq with in a 48 hour notice. We can withdrawn from Iraq even quicker if we have too.

Yes. We stormed into the wrong country, looking for weapons that didn't exist, looked for the guy who caused 9/11 knowing that it wasn't Saddam but Bin Laden, bombed the shiite out of their country and killed how many Iraqis? Yes, I think Bush did a fine job of screwing up the whole thing and now we should let our troops come home
