it is considered a terroristic threat and a felony to threaten to harm an American and an additional felony to do so on the internet. The police and or FBI can track your electronic trail and find you. To make these threats, to harrass, to slander another individual may be just sick fun to you, but their is a price in America when you abuse our right to freedom of speech. Speak you mind, but be careful. Bubba may be your next cell mate.

Nancy Polici's choice to Head the House Intelligence Committee, is Florida Rep. Alcee Hastings. In 1989, after being acquitted in a criminal trial, Hastings was stripped of his position as a federal judge -- impeached by the House in which he now serves and convicted by the Senate -- for conspiring to extort a $150,000 bribe in a case before him, repeatedly lying about it under oath and manufacturing evidence at his trial.

As a country we are at an intellectual place where we are ready to make big moves. Congress has had a major shift as a result of the recent elections, but we don't seem to know where the country is headed. Or if we do know, then no one has told me. On most major issues we see such strong dichotomy that it is hard to believe we are all living in the same country. In the same way though, that is part of the beauty of this country - the right to disagree.
So how do we agree to disagree, and get some direction in our culture?
You can't build a house if you don't have plans, you can't get somewhere unless you know where you are going.
We have everything
so...
as a country
as a population
as a nation
as a people
what are we building?
and where are we going?

Based on the results of the 2006 election, the American people are finally asking for change. They don't like our involvement in Iraq. They voted out many members of the party that put us there. Perhaps they are also ready to question the events and decisions that put us there as well. Perhaps they are ready to ask what really happened on Sept. 11.

Forget the conspiracy theories for a minute and set aside the political gamesmanship. We are a country that spent five years and $100 million investigating President Clinton. We probed the depths of the Iran-Contra scandal – a debacle that would have never come fully into the public eye had a special investigator not been appointed.

The 9/11 Commission interviewed two of it's own members and spent only $3 million. We have spent far more energy, money and time seeking the leak of Valerie Plame's identity and Barry Bonds' use of steroids.

Got any suggestions?

I just don't know if he will read them so if he does, let's try and keep it clean. Please don't ruin my chance to influence history.

My cousin got into trouble (DUI) and it seems that her attorney hasn't really been keeping up with her case. This seems to be a pattern with this guy. He recently had a very high profile case where he called no witnesses. He of course lost the case. I should say, his clients lost their case. I, and many others believe that he is mis-representing my cousin, if not malpracticing. What can be done about it? I think he should not practice any more.

The house just voted against normalizing trade relations with Vietnam. What's with this? The US starts a full blown war in Vietnam, rpaes, loots, burns, and kills over 2 million Vietnamese...not to mention Agent Orange and the Chemical war after that has left millions more with life crippling diseases, birth defects, etc., and has not paid one cent in war reparations to the Vietnamese people. Is this the USA's way to say sorry fora ll of the evils they perpetrated? All Vietnam wants to do is develop, and with the US being the usual bully (this time re: trade) is disgusting and evidence of their abysmal foreign policy. How much more do you want to hurt Vietnam.
Utterly sickening.

THIS IS NOT MY OPINION

An acquaintance of mine was talking about how people "break laws". He's talking about the first ammendment in how "freedom of speech, religion, blah blah blah... shall not be abridged" and stuff. Like, in classrooms teachers tell students to be quiet. This happened to a guy I knew once: A guy had a family problem and was really stressed so he had to talk it out. The teacher tells him to be quiet and he responds saying that he has a right to freedom of speech. The teacher says things like "That applies only when you are expressing your opinion not how much you talk" and stuff.

I'm really confused on this matter. Can someone explain?

I have the legal right to obtain copies of the attorney files of the other party involved in this suit for custody. I am representing myself and want to send a written request for said copies, but want to make sure I don't sound like an idiot. Can anyone help me with examples or templates? Thanks! I don't anticipate losing by any means, but want to know what I am dealing with.
