giving bribery to traffic officer is so rampant in my country philippines. does it happen in your country?

I've been a police officer in Canada for ten years and no one has ever offered me a bribe to get out of a ticket (or for any other reason for that matter).

It goes without saying, I've never asked for money either.

laws agaist something never insure it doesn't happen somett does and the police force involved WILL cover it up most likly it won't be for something as minor as a traffic violation here it is far more likley to be drug involved police here should be required to test no less than monthly as I know that for a fact in riverside county alone 1 part of the sherrifs department does purchase speed from houses for personal use as I used to clean HUD repo houses and recieved reports from relieved neighbors on many occaisions this seems to be quite rampant in many areas as they work long hours and get the habit trying to keep up this is nojust limited to sheriffs as I have heard reports of CHP involvment also but apperantly the union works hard to keep testing like that from happening and the police do cover for each other ( keep that in mind when you see them fly past at over 100 MPH in a non emergency situation Hey officer did you know that it is against the law for you to do that ?) oh and one city in San Diego county use to be involved directly in the trade and when the feds were in town would warn their chemest to go to ore. yeah I get around a lot and hear about these things you can't prove it and the DA's won't go after dirty cops unles it offends them personally or becomes to public as embarrassing

no. it's more fun for the police to get you on bribery than just on a traffic violation.
