Well the US does look weak and stupid because that is the reality.
Most people warned against this illegal war and now the US is realising they were right but it's too late for all the dead people.

Oh my, I'm almost afraid to answer this one. Hmmmm how can I put this? Let me do this as subtly as I can, (damn hope it is so lol) Ok Now first I have to say Are all yall crazy who said YES? WTF turn it around how would you feel? Don't any of you think there are innocent people over there who want change in there country also? What about the the children over there or are American children the ONLY ones who should live because well simply put they are American. I would have to say that before ALL this started I was friends with a lady with several children over there and her and her children were nothing but NICE and always when this first started she sent prayers to ALL the troops and people. Because she just.......cared, not of America or Iraq but of people, and the fact that she is only one person should not matter if there is one there will be more and no the innocent people SHOULD NOT die. This may sound harsh but isn't that a lil like Hitler? Who cares if their innocent just kill em because they are this nationallity? I am thinking all that said yes would have served well for Hitler!! And yes I'm American and YES I love my country but No I don't believe we should go over and blow IRAQ in general away. As sad as this whole war is we have people dieing and so do they and it is a sad situation all the way around. And yeah I've heard well they are fighting against us and I think, DUH did they really say that? We are also fighting against them it is what we are ALL suppose to do love our country and fight for it, God Bless all of the people. We shouldn't hold them all responsible. I think they just need structure and good leadership!! I just pray everyday our men and women make it through one more day. And I don't think Iran thinks we are weak if they do no matter what we do they will still try our patience and again we will fight because it is what America should do. Does it make it right or wrong? Does it matter?

You are not just dealing with Iraq. That country does not exist in a vacuum. Islam is the largest religion in the world, and quite a large number of Muslems believe they are under attack by Christians/Jews. There is some justification for this feeling.
So, the entire notion of using force to deal with the problem is absurd. Tough though it is, and much tougher after the Bush years, we all gotta make friends. There are those on both sides who want to do this so let's get together.

The US has never been successful at guerilla warfare, that's what's going on right now. This is a war in which the US cannot win, no matter how many forces you have on the ground. Taking the air is easy, but once you get on the ground, that's a different sort of war. Course if Rummy hadn't disband the Iraqi army things might have been a lot better.
There is no 'wiping em out'. That's sort of the mentality that created this mess.

i don't think we should be over therein someone else country fighting a war. BUSH IS DOING ALL OF THE STUFF HIS DAD DIDN'T DO. we need to worry about our country with all of the drug dealers, the homeless, people that don't have food to eat. all of that money the United State is spending over there in Iraq they could have build the whole city of New Orleans back over again. we need to take care of home. with all of our solders getting killed everyday.

You embarrass liberals and Democrats. Yes, let's do something drastic and cause other countries to despise us even more. We have many on our side and many that aren't, but bombing the place will cause bigger problems for the future, trust me. Best just to keep on and eventually leave, letting the Iraqi soilders take care of their own problems once they are set. That is just my opinion.

Yes, that's the way, use a lot of bruin and very little brains, and avoid being patient, that's the American way.
wipe who - the whole population of Iraq are 23,000,000. the Sunni Iraqis are 7,000,000. The Shiites are 12,000,000.
what about the Syrian supporters, the Iranians, the whole Muslim world.
The problems Islam poses to the USA and to the west require wisdom, patience and a lot of potential power to intimidate, not to wipe out.

If you leave, let then start to heal, apologize. Send the perps to the Hague for war crimes. Then offer real aid money, not money for Cheney to build barracks and pipe lines. They will understand you too were deceived by liars in government. All countries understand that. But if America could prove powerful and willing enough to punish a rogue government. America would have Hero Worship status world over! And That's The Truth!...MARY

Wipe em out???
That statement really makes me question the sanity of some people....
The war in Iraq is not winnable, never was. wouldn't worry about America's image either, as it is already ruined.
I think America needs to look around at itself actually.
Somehow i don't think Iran really cares what America wants or thinks, and i KNOW if it comes to war with Iran, America will be in for a shock.
