If the Republicans made a serious return to their roots, the "Party of Lincoln" principles, would you support them?

I believe people would. Most of the Republicans that lost were RINOs or strong moderates. If you look at most of the Democrats that won, especially in the red states, they ran fairly conserverative platforms.

I have supported republicans before but they were New England republicans. Financially conservative socially moderate to liberal. This kind of republican is nearly extinct. I doubt the evangelicals that are the life's blood of the GOP will allow that kind of republican to make a come back.

Don't give a crap really, nothing will change. You watch all they will do is fuss and fight and hold hearings on each other. since Kennedy our government has failed us. you people are beyond insane and duped to the high heavens if you think the Dem's will do anything, the same goes for repubs.

Man if I ever hear the word Bush again after 2008 I will emigrate I would support intelligent brave ******* like Mccain anyday though

Yes, somewhat. It would be better if they shed the ultra-conservative religious right.
In this last election I voted about 70-30 Dem-Rep.
