I have seen information that a citizen or green card holder can petition their spouse for an adjustment of status. Is this true? If anyone knows about how this works please help me out. Are there limitations? Must I be a citizen?

"the average losses in a president's sixth year have been 34 House seats and seven Senate seats. By that standard, the Democrats came up just shy of average"

I understand that many including myself are disappointed with the way the war is going with no end in sight. But, aside from the fact that going to IRAQ was arguably a mistake to begin with can someone tell me what Rumsfeld did or didnt do that warranted his dismisal/resignation? If you tell me about the uparmor of the Humvees again I'll puke. No one, not even Speaker Pelosi forsaw the IED problem. The fact that our vehicles were not armored to handle a blast is ridiculous. The question of acceptable losses is something all military commanders grapple with. Did we expect or are we demanding that we suffer no losses in future conflict or else?

So again, lets hear he list of complaints because I'll bet there will be a lack of complaints specfic to the way rummy interpreted Bushs Iraq policy

Hey there,

I've been in a relationship for several years with a European (German). I'm Canadian. I plan to propose to my significant other. Should we get married here in Canada and we apply for a visa for my fiance, will that visa entitle them to become a permanent resident of Canada? I mean, if we get married will she automatically be allowed to immigrate to Canada and become a Canadian citizen? I don't know how it works. Any help is appreciated. Thanks...and wish me luck! =)

Oh, what if we get married in Germany and I decide to move there? I probably have speak fluent German, huh?

I just thought of this, this morning. Having the Democratic Party victory could put Bush in a good position to get out of Iraq in a way that saves face. The Democrats can drive the process to get it out and Bush won't have to take the heat for it as he would have if the Republicans were still in control of both houses. This could be good for Bush at least in terms of Iraq.

For goodness sake! They are red because natural poppies are red, and that's the colour they grew on the battlefields. They are symbolic of the sacrifices of war, and the memory of those who died for their country - nothing to do with religion! I would actually be quite offended if white poppies were brought in. It is fiddling with history and belittles the memory of those who died, trying to change the meaning somehow.

Get a real job, think-tank.

you would think a lot of OT would required for example if you held the position of 'defense secretary' (the new one is 65yrsold) and that's great age doesn't matter in your career, but i'm just curious, because i'm young right now and i do get tired and i don't want a job that has constant OT, so how do they do it? or is it because politicians really dont work(as much as they claim)???

If you gained super powers today, and you wanted to go into business as a super hero, how would you go about concealing your secret identity? I'm looking for realistic suggestions. You're not wealthy, you didn't have any choice about your powers, and you already have an established identity as your current self.

How could you disguise your appearance so that you could not be identified? How would you conceal your comings and goings so that you could not be tracked down? How would you change your habits so that people who knew you would not recognize your personal idiosyncracies?

How would you learn about crimes/ disasters in progress, to be able to help in time?

How much would it all cost? Where would you get the equipment?

How would you deal with the inevitable publicity? The inevitable stalkers? If someone held hostages, trying to force you to use your powers to serve them?

I have missed six days in the last six months and been late or left early seven times in that time. 95% of that was due to my son, who has some chronic but minor health problems we are trying to figure out. I have heard I may be in "trouble" at my review today because of this. Does anyone know if my employer can legally punish me in some way for putting my child first?

Without partisan bickering?

I'm for using our untapped oil resources, as long as it's done in an environmentally responsible way.

I'm for hydrogen research.

I'm for exploring other cost effective energy sources. Emphasis on cost effective.

Lets remove our dependence on foreign oil, or at least minimize it as much as possible.

But lets be realistic, it will cost more. Will you pay more at the pump knowing it's in the long term interest of the US?

Are they all retired and in homes for the elderly, or are there still a few left who can take the masses to the streets ? Look what happened with your constitution, people can now be tortured on suspicion of being a terrorist and have no rights to defend themselves ! In no time every US citizen who protests against GWB and his corporate friends will be a "terrorist" and have the **** beaten out of him. What happened with the USA I used to love ?
