I just thought of this, this morning. Having the Democratic Party victory could put Bush in a good position to get out of Iraq in a way that saves face. The Democrats can drive the process to get it out and Bush won't have to take the heat for it as he would have if the Republicans were still in control of both houses. This could be good for Bush at least in terms of Iraq.

This could be true. And also if something goes horribly wrong it will now be blamed on the Democrats.

America is not leaving Iraq anytime soon. The democrats sold the American people a bill of goods. Also, it would hurt Bush and the Republicans to do what your suggesting he may have done.

If the war is unpopular (not the idea of freeing people, but the manner in which its been fought) it will hurt Bush and the Republicans by saying that he was so disconnected from the America people that it took a different party taking over in congress just for Bush to change his policies.

The Dem's won't have an immediate pull out in that country. If that happened Iraq would become a cesspool of terror, and terrorists would be able to plot and plan attacks from that country, and when America is hit again, people will scream for the democrats head on a platter.

Don't expect to leave Iraq before 2010.

You bring up a very good point and I agree. I think you are right in a lot of ways. I think the Democrats will push to get us out of Iraq and then Bush won't have to do it. Bush doesn't want it all on him and now he's can take the easy way out.

The dems have no answer. they merely attack. they have no stance on something the two, different than each thing they view incorrect interior the international is Bush's fault. that is how they plan on prevailing their elections. we've no plan, we've no innovations yet that is GW's fault. Have they stopped to think of approximately what might take place in Iraq if we did circulate away?

i wouldn't put it past bush to do this as the republicans tend not to play fair but i don't think that's the case at all bush was kind of mad as hell that the democrats took the house and pretty much the senate because he knows he won't have the same power to manipulate people into doing the things he wants the democrats will put him in his place and tell him to slow down georgie boy

No. Winning in Iraq in spite of the Democrats would ensure that the Republicans take the next elections.

The Democrats are desperate for a defeat in Iraq. If we win then they would have to explain how they have mislead the American people.

Maybe , who knows with bush , just before he said he would keep Rumsfeld but now it's known he was already planning to replace him , and he might not even notice that if the democrats do in fact try to get out that they would be saving him from more blame , he might resort to this though since it seems that his old strategy failed miserably .

How is getting out of Iraq saving face. There's nothing dignified about losing a war.

Bush is capable of anything. You notice how fast Rummy left after the election. Wasn't it just days before Bush said Rummy was there to stay. Tell the truth my opinion of Bush is so low I believe he is on any side that will bring him the political hay.
