Ok, I have a 3.96 gallon tank and i am wanting a lizard to put in it. This is the url to the tank i have

http://www.petco.com/product/12031/Aquatic-Gardens-Deluxe-Plastic-Aquarium-With-Lid.aspx

It is the largest one there and on images is the last model.
I have a little desk lamp and at about 6 inches
away from the light it is about 82-89 degrees. i have also been looking at heat rocks and pads. I don't really want any gekos but i would like a medium/little lizard and i don't mind feeding them live bugs.
Would that work out?what kind of lizards are there to chose from? And how to care for them
Thank you! =D

Okay, I'm getting a leo gecko for the first time and I'm a little confused about the wetbox. Do they only need one wetbox? I was under the impression that they needed both their hot and cold hiding spots to be wet. However after reading several posts on yahoo, and online I'm beginning to think I've gotten this confused. If we are only supposed to have one wetbox, should it be in the hot climate? Also what substrate do you recommend. I have asthma and allergies so I need something that won't really pick a smell or start to mold when cleaned properly.

Thank you for your time!

Does anyone know of a good herbivorous lizard for a pet? It needs to be strictly herbivorous, as in it can't even eat crickets. Thanks!

late summer I added some wild caught minnows and a salamander to a 15 gallon tank, the salamander was young, still had the frilly gills but ate flaked fish food, its still surviving on flaked fish food(though I will be getting a proper diet for him soon)and has lost the frilly gills but is still a dull grey color, what kind of salamander is he?

i recently got a new cage for my bearded dragon about a month ago. since then, he has been staying in a wooden hide-away and won't come out to bask or anything. when i feel him, he's cold and so i put him on the log for him to bask on and he'll stay there for a while but then goes back under his hide-away. he eats healthy; crickets, vegetables, and fruits with vitamins. could it be because of the new cage? and wouldnt he be used to it by now? im worried....

Ok so I have a Leopard Gecko and I've had her for years but when I took her out to change the sand I noticed that she had these strange little bubbly like things behind her legs... Her tail is very fat and she has never had any problems before. So I was wondering if they were just excess fat (but she hasn't been eating much lately) or if its something else...
Thanks for your help!

i haven't had my beardies for long so i'm not very experienced, but i've done some reading and the author of a book i got on dragons says he uses calcium sand as a substrate and hasn't had problems. my dad tells me he's read that you need to wash the sand before putting it into the terrarium, but i can't find anywhere that says that on the bag of sand or in the book i have. do i need to wash the sand? and if i do, how would i do that?

Alright, so I bought a ball python probably 4 or 5 months ago. He was fairly young and small. He ate fine for like 3-4 months and then stopped as winter rolled around. I know this is normal. However, he was also VERY active. I built him a jungle gym out of a PVC pipe system and he loved it(It's temporary until he gets large). He used to climb on it all of the time. Then, last week he stopped. He doesn't do much now. I checked him for mites, nothing. I've been checking up on him and he seems generally healthy. I live in central New York so it's kind of cold, I'm hoping it's just temperature. I've kept his tempurature up there but I've let it drop a few degrees(3 at the most) because I've read that's okay to do. I'm not worried about him not eating but his inactivity has me stressing out a lot. I wake up constantly to check on him.
