Turtle or Tortious?

Which one would be easier to care for? Because i wanna keep it in my room im thinking turtle because they dnt need that special light..? Any suggestions?

Turtle, b/c they are usually a lot smaller than tortoises. Turtles can be a lot of fun! It depends on how easily it gets scared. I have never used a special light of any kind & all of my turtles are happy & healthy! Just make sure you feed him/her a variety of veggies {some people feed them fruit}. Like, lettus, tomatoes, carrots, ect.

All turtles and tortoises require specialized lighting. Aquatic turtles also require heated water and filtration. I think a small land dwelling species of box turtle or tortoise would be easier to maintain.

Strictly speaking, a turtle is marine and has oarlike feet and a tortoise is terrestrial and has clublike feet. To complicate matters, many of the freshwater and brackishwater Testudines are called terrapins. Are you confused enough yet? As far as legality goes. You can have a tortoise as long as it is not an endangered or protected species. You have to check state and local laws, as well as the federal ones. Sometimes, you can keep them only with a permit.

i thibk a tortoise would be easier as it doesnt need as much special equipment but i doesnt take too much to care for a turtle either and they are cheaper :)
