The amount of crickets a bearded dragon should eat is whatever amount he can eat in 10 minutes this is mostly a trial and error operaation, but around 8-12 crickets. You shouldn't feed a pinkie mouse to it because when dragons are still young they need as much live food as possible, and the pinkie mouse might not even provide the nutrients it needs, crickets are the main diet until it is an adult. But if you feed him a pinkie mouse cut in half as long as the food isn't bigger than the width of its head he should be fine.

i have a 5 month old and he can eat about 20 crickets in one setting. We have also fed him pinky mice (no need to cut it in half) and he ate 4 of them in a row. We have also given ours another lizard, an anole, and he LOVED it! Dragons will eat a lot during the first couple of years.

As many as he wants. Young growing beardies can eat up to 100 a day! They do not need pinkies at all--they are too high in fat. Stick to gutloaded, dusted crickets, superworms, silkworms, phoenix worms, hornworms, etc. NO mealworms for beardies--too hard to digest the chitin.

I have no idea. I have never owned one. Just put a few crickets in there and see how many he will eat. Have you tried giving him a pinkie that is cut in half?
