Lots of variations to this, but the one I learned was:

Red touches yellow, kill a fellow.
Red touches black, good for Jack.

It goeas alittle something like this:

Red on black is a friend of Jack,
Red on yellow is a dangerous fellow.

I keep alot of reptiles and know it well...
