When mine got dehydrated, the vet said it was renal failure. He's absolutely 100% healthy now. I kept his humidity up in the 85-90% range (yeah... it was tough) and made it warmer in there. He returned back to normal in a matter of days.. a week tops.

And you just let them thaw until they are warm and mushy (not frozen). Depends on the temp of the water, but I'd say between 5 and 15 minutes.

Frozen mice are definitely the way to go. Although a snake may "prefer" to eat live, its a lot safer for the snake if you feed it frozen. And one of the posts had it right that you just need to thaw it out so that its not frozen anymore..though through my experience they do need to be warm..my burms won't take cold rats/rabbits.

They def shouldnt be dehydrated. I could see if its a new snake and it came to you dehydrated from shipment/petshop/tradeshow but they shouldnt dehydrate in its cage.

I just put my pinkies in a small cup of warm water (no baggie) for about 10 minutes (they should not feel cold or frozen when you touch them), then just before I feed I soak it in really HOT water for about 15 seconds. My snakes POUNCE on them!

They should never dehydrate. A bowl of water large enough to soak in should be available at all times, and kept nice and fresh. If your snake is dehydrated, try soaking her in a bit of warm water once or twice a day for about 10 minutes.

not long but i always found that my snake would enjoy live kill better, he would shun the dead chow unless he was really hungry.

you should always provide water for your snake. he should never be dehydrated. if the problem continues with daily water then take him to the vet.

put fresh water every day.
