We got 6 corn snakes and we dont want a water snake so what other snakes can we buy

One of my friends got a baby turtle from a girl that had found it (I think in her yard). We want to set him free, but we don't know where to put him (near water, etc) His shell is about the size of a half-dollar coin, with a roundish ridge down the middle. He has a short pointed tail, and kinda spiky "fingers". It's hard to tell because we don't want to handle him too much, and he's really small. His belly is yellowish. He has a bit of a pointed beak mouth, but it doesn't seem all big like a snapping turtle. His shell is not as tall as a "box turtle", but he's not super-flat either. If anybody can help me I would really appreciate it.
I would just turn him loose, but he's so tiny that I'm afraid if he's not in the right habitat he won't make it.
Any links would help too!
Thanks!

in other words - do they need to have a tank full of water and just a few rocks to sit on or can it live in a tank full of rocks with only a little "tub" of water to bathe in?

also - what about a green turtle?

He freaked out on me (he's better now) and I was wondering: is it normal for a corn snake to shake his tail like a rattle snake? He's the sweetest pet ever but I was completely scared (though I do know a lot about corn snakes).

we have two pet turtles that were caught from a local resevoir. both of them are about the size of a half dollar. recently, their shells have become soft - almost flexible.

we have them under a heat lamp and feed them regular turtle food bought from the store. is this normal? is there something else we should be doing? are they sick?

thank you in advance for any help or suggestions.

I saved this box turtle from someone who could not properly care for her. I don't know what kind she is.

I keep her in a 55 gal tank. 1 ft sq of water w/ filter 4 in. deep w/ aquatic plants. 3 1 1/2 ft of reptile grass and the rest reptile bark for burrowing. She has a basking light, UV light and shade area.

She always has small feeder fish to eat, I give gut stuffed crickets bi-monthly.

Everyother day she get a variety of fruits/vegs. I rotate and mix:

Leafy greens
Green peppers
Carrots
Tomato
Peas
Melon
Apple
Orange
Banana
blueberry
stawberry

She likes fruit/veggie organic babyfood and I give her a wet processed box turtle food. Everyonce in a while a weight maintenance soaked dog food.

Anything is better than her previously living in a 10 gal tank with dirt and a dog bowl for water with only iceberg lettuce and carrots.

But I want to know how I am doing?

I have a wild-caught Eastern Chain Kingsnake, 4ft long and probably 4-5 years old. He has some indentations on some of his scales; I don't know if they're normal, because I used to have another WC king and its scales weren't indented like this. The scales with the "dents" are mostly around his neck, though they are less pronounced over other parts of his body. Is this some sort of deficiency? Is it normal?

What does a Russian Tortoise nest, or test nest, look like. (links to websites with pictures of some would be most helpful, but a description is better then nothing lol)

We have been out of town and had a friend taking care of the pets. I left the geckos mealworms in the frig in the house and left very detailed instructions for the care of each animal. When er got home I was check on her and there was dirt in her food bowl. Right then I knew. I got her moss out to mist it and there were 2 earth worms under the moss container and 3 or more down in her moss. I cleaned her cage right away and feed her her normal meal. I am not sure if she ate any of the earthworms in the time we were gone and the person caring for her didn't see her eat the worms just noticed they were not in her bowl so he assumed she did eat them. The next night I went to feed here and there were a few more worms in her moss. I checked the cage again and they had gotten up behind the background so I removed everything and cleaned it again. What will happen if she did eat any of the earthworms?

We have been breeding for a while, but our last female died this year. I am looking for a beardie without all the crazy "hypo" colors. I live in Nebraska, but would pay for any shipping expenses. Any advice? Thanx.
