Take a look at an eastern kingsnake. They are slightly larger than corn snakes and become very calm in captivity. I think the eastern king is one of the most attractive of the "large" kingsnakes.

Bull snakes and pine snakes are also good "pets," but they can get fairly large (a really big bull may measure 7 feet-plus; northern pines are slightly smaller).

A milk snake is similar to yours in size and behavior and they come in a wide variety of colors. Possibly a boa if dont mind it getting big 8 feet +. Or you can go with a ball python that will stay under 6 feet and take a while to grow.

i study all your solutions and truthfully everyone seems to be recommending corn snakes. it somewhat is an excellent snake for novices even though it is going to desire mice as an grownup they strengthen as much as 5 ft in length , would not sound like this is a solid snake for you. actuality is maximum snakes contained in the puppy save faster or later will desire some sort of rodent. yet a garter snake is your ultimate guess ,yet even this snake as an grownup won't stay to tell the story on crickets. it is going to desire frogs , fish, worms crickets. attempt a lizard, sounds extra up your alley. the snake that suits all your standards minus the mouse is a ball python. they get no larger than 5 ft. very mushy and unique looking. feeding a snake a mouse isn't that undesirable. you are able to likely purchase them lifeless and only drop it contained in the tank

Kings or milks are nice if you want cool colours. Ball python for a change in pace. There a slower animal but bigger and slightly more care. Colours arn't as nice unless you wanna spend 200-2,000 on a pastel. Personally I would go grey banded kind ^_^ there cut lil buggers!
