Ethically, it somewhat is undesirable to consume turtle meat. The turtles that make the tastiest soup are actually endangered species. i became into those days in Panama, or perhaps nevertheless eco-tourism is a huge deal there and human beings bypass to work out the turtles come ashore to place their eggs, some unscrupulous human beings nevertheless sell turtle soup there and make dishes with the turtle eggs. it is unhappy while the classic way of life clashes with cutting-side sensibilities. on the single hand you desire to save those stylish creatures, and on an identical time you're sitting there with a huge spoon. Oh, the humanity.

We have a large pond at our zoo. It has several snappers in it along with a handful of other species. Each year when baby ducks and geese are swimming the turles will grab them and pull them under.

I have neer seen any go after larger birds but we lose a great number of little ones each year.
