I have a percentage boer goat and I want to show him in Junior Livestock Competitions next year. The thing is, he has these things on his neck called wattles. I need to know if I can show a goat that has wattles because I've been to some livestock shows and I noticed that none of the other goats had them. I didn't know if the wattles would make a difference or not. Does anybody else even have a goat with waddles? Do you know if I could show my goat?

I like many people would love to own a exotic animal if it were to stay a young one. Can they keep dogs puppies, cats kittens, or bears cubs?

My dog recently had puppies (12-18-06), and I don't know what to do. They are hard-headed, but I love them alot. Just today, my 3 year old niece pulled on her ears and kicked her, and the girl pup nipped her. She went on crying for 30 whole minutes, but the dog hadn't left any mark at all. Now, my parents want me to give them away. It wouldn't be so hard if I hadn't raised them since birth...Is there any possible suggestion besides giving them away? They're chewing things up too, and it's getting hard to potty train them since I'm at school all day. I have created a very strong bond with them, and I really DON'T want to have to give them away...

I give him clean water every morning before I eat breakfast. There usually is just a little bit of water left in his bottle. But in the past 2 weeks his water is completely gone by 6-7 pm that evening. And I've been checking for leakage and it isn't leaking at all. He is a year and 3 months old. He has a large water bottle. I'm concerned that he may have a medical condition that is making him drink more water. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks!

I saw vitamin drops at the petstore and one of the pets listed on it was rats, but I couldn't find any information about if they need them.
Also, is parsley okay to feed them or is it bad for them? I always have some for my guinea pigs and rabbit, but I don't know if it is safe for my rats so I haven't given them any.

I noticed my rats like to drop from the bed, so I tossed one of them onto a pillow, gently. She ran back and waited for me to pick her up and do it again. Even my other rat, who is usually antisocial, loves being thrown as well, and even goes psycho after a particularly hair raising ride. And when thrown together, they wrestle each other once they land. So I'm just wondering if anyone else has ever done this, and makes me suspect that maybe rats do have a sense of fun, and that they are thrill seekers?

I know some people keep their guinea pigs outside in a well protected cage...
I remember last year at summer, I would only put them out if it was 20ºC. Today it's 16ºC and reeeally sunny. Should I put them out? At what temperature could they go out? Is there a certain temperature that is too hot for them? Like 30ºC?
Overall, what's the minimum and maximum temperature for guinea pigs to go outside and eat some grass? =)
Thanks.

first of all, i did go to the vets and they arent sure. this was a good bunny vet and he said since she is physically healthy and is eating her hay to keep an eye on her.

i wasnt sure if this happened to anyone else. she is almost 2 years old, definately not pregnant. in the past week she has stop going to the 3rd level of her cage, staying on the first 2 levels which are the potty level and the water bottle level. she eats her hay and carrots but not pellets. she is looking healthy and asking for attention but not jumping around or chewing things with normal energy. she also doesnt seem to be socialzing with the other bunnies like she used to. they arent grooming eachother or snuggling. she is still grooming herself and not loosing weight that i can tell yet. its been almost a week now.

any thoughts would be great.
