Yea, so I was taking my dog Kilo out this morning and I opened up the garage door and he got to the trash and ate raw chicken that had been sitting there all night before I could get it out of his mouth. He was on a leash but he just got under the garage door before I could. I'm kind of worried about salmonella. I'm waiting for the vet to call me back to see if he could possibly have salmonella poisoning from the raw chicken. Has anyone's dog ate raw chicken and what did you do? Did your pet get sick and if so what do you reccomend I do, besides taking him to the vet? I will probably take him when I get off work tonight.

My son would like to get a tree frog for his next "friend" I have no problem with this, i wouldn't mind having it myself. I would just like to know if they make good pets for kids (my son is almost 9) or is there a better "beginner" amphibian/reptile.

WEST POINT, Miss. - Kevin Pugh, 20, of Cedar Bluff has been fined $279 for tossing a pig over the counter at the Holiday Inn Express in West Point . Pugh was accused of walking into the hotel and throwing the 60-pound pig over the counter. Pugh is accused in a second animal-throwing incident at a Hardees's restaurant.

If this man got away with only a $279 fine for this act I think this is a good way to drop off unwanted animals. I have 4 goats that getting too old. It would be cheaper to throw them over the counter at someone vs. paying a vet for their meds or to put them down. I have a few places in town that may even take care of the goat after I toss it at them in their workplace.

My only concern is the goats may not me as durable as the pigs that were thrown. Does anyone know how I should toss the goat so it lands in it feet?

I heard that after the recall hit the press, they fed the various dog foods to a number of dogs and something like 7 out of the 10 died, so they "confirmed" that the food should be taken off the shelf. Is that really true? If so, is anyone (i.e. PETA) making this public or making an issue of it? I find it almost too cruel to believe, especially that they would allow the public to know this info.

My wife and I would like to get into the pet grooming buisiness but we dont have the time or money to work as an apprentice/dog washer. Would a degree online be sufficient to open our own buisness.

I just got an Appaloosa who is 5 years old. She was rode last summer, can tie, and stand to be groomed without problems but I was told that she is bit shy and needs more work with that. I would like to try John Lyon's methods as I hear he is a really good trainer to go with. I don't know anything about teaching a horse to get used to a bit so I wanted to know if any of you could offer some suggestions? And how I can get them to turn left, right, backwards, forwards? I heard a gag hackamore would be a good idea, but I want more suggestions as this is my first time owning and training a horse. I will not be spending the money for a trainer at this time since I am on a tight budget. So all comments are appreciated. Thanks.

My hamster has been suffering wet tail for awile now. She started getting sick on Wed., and then we took her to the vet. on sunday. He gave us medicine and all, but it only helped a little. She has a bit more energy and her tail is a bit more dry but she is still incredible weak and her back is still hunched up. I just wanted to know is it usual for hamsters to have a slow recovery or fast? Cause if she is not recovering as fast as she needs to be, i need to take her to the vet.

Currently, i have 4 drawf hamsters (all females) which each of them is living alone. This because from my past experience, almost everytime when put together, they will fight. but right now, they are like so lonely. So i am thinking maybe i can put 2 in a cage to let them enjoy the company. so is dere a way to reduce the risk of fighting when put together?
