I have a golden pup and I wan to make her as happy as I can living with me. Do you have any suggestions.

I have two goldens and they love everything that they can fetch.... they are very lovable and active animals that love retrieveing things, hence, the name golden RETRIEVER....Tennis balls, rings to play tug a war with, sticks, socks etc... I have found that my goldens dont really like hard toys though, such as kongs and lacrosse balls etc... They also love love love rawhides to chew on, they make my dogs so happy! Try and take her swimming in a nearby lake, make sure she has a retractable leash on while she is young -- my dogs are obsessed with swimming and literally cry out inexcitement when they see the lake... now that they are older they dont need leashes but be careful with puppies, unless you want to swim after her!

When my golden was a puppy (and even now he is 9) he really likes booda bones ( http://www3.shopping.com/xPC-Booda_Booda_Bone_Large_White_Rope_Dog_Toy~r-1~CLT-INTR~RFR-www.google.com ) (thick, softish robe chew toy bones), Nylabones ( http://www3.shopping.com/xPC-Nylabone_Nylabone_Original_Durable_Dog_Bone ) , a hard plastic bone. When he was a pup, he liked a little stuffed fake sheepskin person with a squeaker in the middle ( http://www3.shopping.com/xPC-Pooch_Pleasers_Pooch_Pleasers_Gingerbread_Man_Sheepskin_Dog_Toy_with_Squeeker ). It wouldn't last very long, but he had so much fun with it!!
He also likes the old fashioned tennis ball!
Just as a tip, don't play tug-of-war, it can lead to your dog growing up more agressive. Not all dogs would become agressive, but it can happen. A good book is: http://www.dogsbestfriend.com/books/bk.html . The monks of New Skeet have good training practices.

well there isent a serten thing that golden retrivers like.alot of dogs like toys that have a scwecer in it. alot of dogs like to have some bones to chu on and when u feed them the food that u feed them put some soft dog food in there food. You can get it at walmart. If your dog gose on the cauch and you dont like that then get a lil dog bed for him or her. You can get them at walmart.

Dogs like to grab ahold of things with their teeth and pull like crazy on them. I like the knotted rope loops with a soft elastic rubber ring on them. You hold the ring while the dog bites the rope and have a fun tug-of-war with the dog. But I've never owned a puppy, so I'm not sure what they like to do at that age.

Just to remind you, It's probably not best to play tug-o-war with her at this young age. Try milkbones, or like the dog beef jerky for treats.

My brothers likes a deflated basketball.He throws it around and loves to play catch with it.
