WEST POINT, Miss. - Kevin Pugh, 20, of Cedar Bluff has been fined $279 for tossing a pig over the counter at the Holiday Inn Express in West Point . Pugh was accused of walking into the hotel and throwing the 60-pound pig over the counter. Pugh is accused in a second animal-throwing incident at a Hardees's restaurant.

If this man got away with only a $279 fine for this act I think this is a good way to drop off unwanted animals. I have 4 goats that getting too old. It would be cheaper to throw them over the counter at someone vs. paying a vet for their meds or to put them down. I have a few places in town that may even take care of the goat after I toss it at them in their workplace.

My only concern is the goats may not me as durable as the pigs that were thrown. Does anyone know how I should toss the goat so it lands in it feet?

Well, you could hit someone with their hooves or horns and injure them (maybe they could increase the fine to attempted goatslaughter....I mean manslaughter). You really can't toss a goat and expect it to land on its feet. Maybe if you throw it head first and in a standing position they will have a chance, other than that, you will have a somersaulting goat. Old ones are not that agile anymore as well, so it may never land feet down.
You know what? they probably gave him his pig back from Holiday Inn, while they fried it up at Hardees- you might get stuck with the goats. Goat meat is decent, but old goat meat is not.
As for getting rid of the old goats- contact your rendering truck- they can take them for about $20 a trip or so. Or a local farm animal humane society.

This does not sound like a good idea. If the goat lands on it's feet the result may be a broken leg, leaving you open to animal cruelty charges (i.e. jail time).

It might be a better idea to try and find a good (retirement) home for the goats.

I have some advice. Don't throw the goat, that is cruel. Instead if you do not want the animal, find a good loving home for them.
