I work for Baltimore Animal Care and Rescue. A lot of people do care. I find that when people come to our shelter it is best to educate them on not only ways they can help animals, such as volunteering at a shelter, donating items and money. But giving them the cold hard facts as to what really goes on behind the closed doors of an abusive situation for our furry friends. Less ignorance is the best!

I love animals and I'm against cruelty and I love the ASPCA. They help animals but they're not in your face about cruelty and trying to make you feel bad like PETA.

If you can't donate money then please donate time. All shelters need help. We need people to walk dogs, hang up flyers for fundraisers, run errands, do laundry (as in dog bedding) whatever. Even if you don't want to handle animals we have work for you to do.

Most people want to help but cant afford to help out. I am one of them. I would love to send money to the SPCA but cant afford to pay attention. Glad to see that you can and do help out.
