Can you keep one as a pet? If so do I pick one up outside or can I buy one in a pet shop? What besides my roses does it eat? My seven year old wants one as a pet!

ok, well i have 2 male french lop rabbits. they've been together since they've been born. They fight all the time! i know that they are showing dominance by humping but it is getting ridiculus!. so, here's my questions: Does one finally become dominant or will they always be humping? and They keep biting. is there any way of getting them to stop? How can I find out how to enter my horse and what the regulations are. I know they prob. aren't usually gelded, but my paint acts like a stud and although he's great with people, if someone ever sat on him he'd give them a run for thier money. Before we break him we'd like to give him the opportunity to perform just in case he's a natural. Any suggestion?

I have two young gerbils, a male and a female (please spare me the sex talk), I got them a little over a week ago and after a mild introduction struggle (see my last question), they were getting along fine. I've had them just over a week now and up until today they seemed to be extremely healthy. This morning I found the tiny male (about 3 inches not including tail) laying outside the wooden house he sleeps in, I thought this was strange, and when I picked him up he was completely limp and barely breathing. There is a tiny bit of what might be dry diarrhea at the base of his tail, but I've had a hamster with wet tail and half her belly was covered was covered. Also, his eyes and ears aren't as dehydrated as her's and he is declining much more rapidly. There's almost no chance he got it from the infected hamster, she and her cage were gone before he arrived. I know it might be stress because he is so young, but what all could be wrong and what should I do for him and to save the female?

She was accidentally put in with the buck when her 1st litter was 4 days old. I had read that with such a big litter that a pregnancy so soon after would be aborted. Guess not. So, I was wondering if it is ok to wean the 1st litter now at 4 weeks of age. They are eating solid foods and are very good size and healthy. This is my first time w/rabbits. My son got 2 this past Christmas, now we have 19. I just want to make sure this is alright and the mother will be alright.

Why is Menu Foods allowed to lie and say only 16 animals (15 cats and a dog) have died from the tainted foods. Also, sources say Menu Foods has been feeding the food to 40-50 test animals, 11 of which died. Hmmmm... interesting numbers. I hope Menu Foods goes out of business.

On another note, my 1 year old dog has been fed Iams Select Bites, and is currently being treated on Leucovorin (Folinic Acid) and IV fluids for kidney problems. The Folinic acid is used to reverse the effects of the Rat Poison.

We survive on mainly donations but have recently started selling animal products at our adopotion center to help cover the cost of feeding the animals, rent, utilities etc. Our prices are very comparable to othere area store. Problem is even if we try to sell adopters something they say no thanks we are going to Petco etc. I end up emotional and irritated when I try to explain if we don't pay our rent we cannot stay open and help the animals or the community. Any ideas on what I could put on a short sign in the shop to make people realize that if they support our cause as much as they claim they do they should buy from us? I need to do this without sounding like a jerk which is how I come off half the time when I say it verbaly

My brother was taking care of my pet guinea pigs over the weekend. They get along very well. they are both sows. I was weighing and grooming my young one, and I found a scab and some open flesh on her ear and the skin below her ear. What should i do before I take her to the vet? I have cleaned the wound with some diluted hydrogen peroxide, and I am keeping the guinea pigs together, but I have put in two hidey houses so they don't get too close. PLEASE TELL ME WHAT I NEED TO DO. I am scared,
Thanks,
Charlotte

I went into my local pet shop today to buy some parrot food and some plants for my fish and fell in love with a rabbit. She was so beautiful and friendly. I lost my last rabbit at the age of 8 about 2 years ago and sold the hutch and run. If I bought this rabbit I would have to buy a new hutch and run. They are not cheap. Also this rabbit is about 5months old and has not yet been out side. would it be creul to put her in a hutch out side yet?.
