it could be plastic poisoning thats wrong with him, that s what my guinea pig died from, she had trouble standing and moving around and just wanted to lay around too. you should take him to the vet before he gets worse ASAP!!

Your guinea pig is most likely hvaing a bad case of the flu. What you should do is go to your local pet shop or vet and get a small bottle of animal wormer. Your guinea pig may get to look a little worse, but eventually he/she will come around. Also, make sure you do not feed it any sweet things or treats, if this is all you have I would suggest that you stop until he gets better and get him regular and plain rabbit pellets. He may have had too many sweets, so no treats unless he is getting better, if this does not work ask your local vet for a shot that you can give him so he makes his stomach hold food and become constipated, after a few days he will get bigger and then when he does go to the bathroom he should be just fine.

He could be lethargic or depressed which is a serious sickness. I would advise monitoring his food and water intake, try to feed some of his favorite treats as a motivation to move. If he is still refusing to move and his weight continues to drop I'd take him to the vet and in the meantime give him vitamin supplements, but mostly Vitamin C. Good Luck!!

You should take him to a good cavy vet immediately. Guinea pigs wil die very quickly if not treated.
