They are about 2 months old. They are so sweet! Any special tips we should know from people who have them?

you have to regulate the temperature of the room so that they are not to hot or cold. they have more allergies to beddings than most other rats do so i'd advise using paper. they are prone to skin problems so as soon as you notice something take them right to the vet.

Congrats! I've always wanted to have a hairless!

You should actually have a furred buddy with them for extra warmth. Make sure that inside the cage you put some shelter that will keep them out of drafts from the air/fan/heat.. whatever...

Remember that if you find that one is preggers, you may need to find a haired female that is still nursing. The one downfall of hairless females, is often times, they cannot nurse. It's not too common, but I know of breeders who say it does.

Treat your hairless rats the same as you would those with hair but KEEP THEM OUT OF THE SUN... they will burn quickly.
