Can you keep one as a pet? If so do I pick one up outside or can I buy one in a pet shop? What besides my roses does it eat? My seven year old wants one as a pet!

You should research this subject further because I don't know a lot about them.The only thing I positively know about snails is they require cool and moist environment and they are vegetarians.This is definitely a 'land snail' if you found it by your rose bushes.

my friend found a snail in Home Depot and took it home like last year. i think you should buy one from the pet shop though.

probable both, but their is land and water snails.
