My guinea pig Wicket (aka buddy, chief, lawn mower) is just over a year old... about 14 months i believe. I planned on building him a cubes and coroplast cage with lots of room and i was wondering if he would be ok with another guinea pig. I really love guineas and i wanted some advice on whether i should get a fixed female or another male. Or if it's a good idea at all. All i know is that he's growing out of his starter cage and i need to get a bigger one or make one. Also... he used to be a little spazzy when we first got him but he's mellowed out quite a bit. Any feedback would be great.
thanks
Renae

Ive been training barrel horses for a while. I'm 16 years old but i live on a 2000 acer horse ranch and ive been barrel racing since i was 4. My 14 year old paint mare absoultly wont pick up her right lead. We have tried EVERYTHING, she will pick it up in the pasture but not on a lunge line. We've tried side reins, draw reigns, different bits, circingles, diffferent riders and training techniques....basically EVERYTHING. Has anyone else ever had this problem? If so, how did you fix it? Keep in mind, ive tried EVERYTHING any trainer would try, but i wanted to know if there is something different someone else has tried.

my rat is 1 1/2 yrs old, i know this is getting into old age, but she was healthy one day and the next day she was crawling on her side, when i pick her up she twists her body , ( like she cant tell which way is up), i have her on antibiotics and have taken her to a vet. she has been on medicine for 3 days now. i need to know if i let her hang on , or if there is no chance of recovering, do i put her down,
i am willing to take care of her as long as she fights to live, but i dont want her to suffer. please let me know if it is an inner ear infection , and if so how long does it take to recover. please know funny comments. i love her dearly and waited for 8 yrs to get her.

my chinchilla has something wrong with him and i don't have funds to get him to a vet so i was wondering if anyone has ever had one that has done this? he runs around the cage like he is high on something and knocks into things. he has a three story (which was the cage he was given to me in about a week ago). but he also falls over alot like he's drunk. he tried jumping down from his castle and ended up falling on his head and just stayed that way for like 40 seconds. he does this alot. at one point he did something that i thought seemed like a seizure but at first i thought he was choking on something. then he started falling over and i thought he was dead but then he came out of it and started jumping around. i dunno whats wrong with him? he did that same thing with the seizure before and my mom thought he was gone because when she touched him he was hard and didnt move, then he woke out of it we thought he was just a heavy sleeper. help!

After this pet food poisoning, have you heard that it was wheat gluten, the protein part of the wheat, that was contaminated? Do you think dogs and cats should ever eat it? I don't!

I didn't like hearing that chicken and pig excrement are allowed in pet food either! That should be illegal shouldn't it?

my mexican redknee started doing something really strange tonight. he's sitting on the ground moving his legs up and down and rubbing them together. it's crazy! is he preparing to molt? Since I've had him he hasn't molted, and he's never displayed this behavior before. I read somewhere that T's pump fluid to their legs to loosen the skin before a molt. Is that what this is? Any feedback is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I show rabbits. All of us show many kind of animals dogs, cats, livestock etc. Share your memories or bloops etc. Here mine. I let two Mini Rex bucks run in the yard. Stanley broken red mini rex got behind the black berry bush. Then Stanley got in fight with Mojo my other mini rex castor buck. Stanley took a chunk of fur off Mojo's back and top of his head. Well the rabbit show was the next day, so I could not cancel the show entry. So I end up taking Mojo with missing fur, Stanley with black berry stain on his fur. The judge place both Mini Rex faults. So my lesson was never let rabbits run, play in yard the day before show.

I want serious answers here! No ignorance!

I want a rabbit! I asked my parents about 7 months ago and they said no. So this time around I decided to get a ton of info ready in like a packet. I have lots but I don't want to mess this up. I have letters to my parents about why I want one. I have a paper explaining what I would do with my bunny daily, weekends, summer, school days... I also have told them I will hire sometne to take care of my rabbit when I am away. I know I will have to get it altered and I am willing to do that. I cannot pay for it my self but I have gotten a job that I will do over the summer and I am a great saver. I can buy it but not pay for its care by myself. I am willing to adopt. I can't really find a good size cage and I am considering a pen but I am not sure. I don't know if they need bedding. I will keep it inside. My parents are worried about odor, cost, and having a dog too. It would spend tons of time out of the cage. Tell me everything u kno

Okay, I just got two really really cute hamsters from the petshop.. they're a boy and girl. I want to breed them-- but what if they're brother and sister? What do you think? They were in fact in the same aquarium at the shop.... they seem to be the same size though the boy might be a little bigger, they seem pretty young. They are fancy hamsters. Maybe 3 1/2 inches long. The girl is a solid peach/sand color, the boy is grayish.

Two days ago, I stupidly placed my rat (Sugar) on the kitchen counter. He ran off. We checked him to make sure there were no broken bones but we did not check to see if his mouth was okay. Yesterday, we noticed him playing with his mouth as if something might be stuck in it. We opened it and noticed a tooth missing. Right now I can't pay for a vet visit until I get paid in about two weeks. My mother has been mashing up his food and puting in a little ibuprofen for the pain. My question is, is there something we can do for him until we get him to the vet? And will the tooth grow back?

i love dogs cats every animal exept farits couse they dont like + they are so smelly andFerrets have anal scent glands which secrete musk, giving them a very strong odor (males more than females) which many people find offensive, and more importantly, which intensifies allergies. Along with neutering, removing the anal glands a ferret before it is 6 months old is a good way to control the musky aroma. -- It's not really necessary and will probably just burn a huge hole in your pocket for surgery costs etc... but if you have allergies or really CANNOT stand the smell then go for it. For one try and get a female ferret, for two go to your friends house before buying the ferret and see if the smell really bothers you-- make sure it doesn't bother your mum either!
