My rat a bunch of dehydrated peas and is now drooling and laying around on her side. She is acting like she is just terribly full! Is this possible? I am currently keeping a close eye on her.

The one time my rat has ever done that, he had something caught in his throat. After a while it passed, and everything was fine.
The only other thing I can think of is if the peas rehydrated and made your rat fuller than what she thought she'd be after eating. Either way, I'd think it ought to pass.

Never saw a rat drool.
Mine never over eat though. You shouldn't be giving it any dehydrated food. Frozen peas or fresh ones are a lot better for them.

Rats are not dirty creatures humans are really...how often do you wash your hands? Rats wash them every 15 to 30 minutes or less. Besides where did you get the medication your on? It was aprooved rat safe first.
Chokeing is a common problem in rats..always hydrate any vegetable before giving it to any animal..and cook all beans. Hope your rat is ok. Shaz

I've never seen a rat drool, and I've owned numerous amounts of rats.

Make sure water is available, and watch for listlessness (lack of responding to stimulation).
