I bought him yesterday from a petshop and he had to endure 40 minutes car drive till home (he is 10 months old and neutered). He was quite stressed in the car. I arrived home with him, he ate some raddish leaves and a piece of pear, some pellets, but he hasn't drank water at all and hasn't urinated since I have him and made a couple of pills only.
I don't understand why he's acting this way, probably cuz he is still stressed out?

I have Pat Peralli's Level 1 Dvd set that I borrowed from someone and want to get started right away, but I hear there are some things in his lessons that people don't agree with. I don't know too much about John Lyons, except that he's high up there in great Trainers. I just got my first horse. What kind of training should I do?

I bought a Teddy Bear hamster 3 years ago, and it just died yesterday, I checked on him and he wasn't in his bed, he was laying flat down and there was blood that had came from his mouth, there was about a teaspoon or so, but I was wondering if maybe he ripped his teeth or something?

The rabbit I look after during the day was shivering in his hutch when I went to get him this morning. It wasn't a constant shiver, just an occasional one. He wasn't in his bed (a pile of hay) and it wasn't very cold (5 degrees Celcius with no wind) and he often chooses to sit out in colder temperatures than that on my decking when he could come inside in the warmth. (He's very relaxed in our house when he does choose to come in).

So, was he cold? He's been moulting a lot lately. Or was he frightened? He wasn't acting frightened. Could he be a bit under the weather and cold even though he wasn't in his bed and doesn't normally seem to feel the cold? I'm not sure whether to ask his owner to give him more hay, or whether to keep him in my house for a few nights if he's not feeling too well. He's 6 years old.

(I've been keeping him in overnight when it's been frosty.)

Dear Dogs and Cats,

When I say to move, it means go someplace else, not switch positions with each other so there are still two of you in the way.

The dishes with the paw prints are yours and contain your food. The other dishes are mine and contain my food. Please note, placing a paw print in the middle of my plate and food does not stake a claim for it becoming your food and dish, nor do I find that aesthetically
pleasing in the slightest.

The stairway was not designed by NASCAR and is not a racetrack. Beating me to the bottom is not the object. Tripping me doesn't help because I fall faster than you can run.

I cannot buy anything bigger than a king size bed. I am very sorry about this. Do not think I will continue to sleep on the couch to ensure your comfort. Look at videos of dogs and cats sleeping. they can actually curl up in a ball. It is not necessary to sleep perpendicular to each other stretched out to the fullest extent possible. I also know that sticking tails straight out and having tongues hanging out the other end to maximize space used is nothing but sarcasm.

Ohhh, and my compact discs are not miniature Frisbees.

For the last time, there is not a secret exit from the bathroom. If by some miracle I beat you there and manage to get the door shut, it is not necessary to claw, whine meow, try to turn the knob, or get your paw under the edge and try to pull the door open. I must exit through the same door I entered. In addition, I have been using the bathroom for years--canine or feline attendance is not mandatory.

The proper order is kiss me, then go smell the other dogs or cats' ***. I cannot stress this enough. It would be such a simple change for you.

I rubbed the lotion on my skin for a REASON! Not as an after-dinner snack for you. The newspaper spread on the floor is called accident paper... NOT habit paper! Also, I do not need your help driving the car, never mind what you saw on television!

To pacify you I have posted the following message on our front door.....

Rules for Non-pet owners who visit and like to complain about our pets:

1. They live here. You don't.
2. If you don't want their hair on your clothes, stay off the furniture.
3. I like my pet better than I like most people.
4. To you it's an animal. To me he/she is an adopted son/daughter who is short, hairy walks on all fours and doesn't speak clearly.

Dogs and cats are better than kids. They eat less, don't ask for money all the time, are easier to train. Usually come when called, never drive your car, don't hang out with drug using friends, don't drink or smoke, don't worry about buying the latest fashions, don't wear your clothes, don't need a gazillion dollars for college, and if they get pregnant, you can sell the results.

Sincerely,

Your Owner

Last week my hamster started itching her sides and belly constantly. She developed red, scaly, irrated skin. I took her to the vet on Friday and she has an allergy to something unknown. He gave her a tiny allergy shot and I have to check back in a week. I changed her carefresh bedding to the colored one since it's suppose to be softer, am just giving her the regular hamster mix and her fav carrots. She's got a three story wire/plastic cage and her favorite is the 2nd flr in a plastic house. I took out the carefresh bedding I had in there and just left the toilet paper. Today is Sunday and I noticed she's still itching. Does anyone know what it could be?

Ok I got some pretty dumb answers last time so I will ask again.

But first let me tell you, I do not support in any way hunting or fishing as a sport. I hunt/fish for food as a way of life. I am an ethical hunter.

Deer hunting does not!!!! Pomote taking of males which will increase poulation. Actuall we are allowed to take only one male deer per year, but we are allowed 3 females. This is a common misconception that hunters only want males with big racks.

The hunters who are not ethical are usually form cities, the same place people from PETA are from. City people have no idea what happens in the wilderness. The videos they show are the worst out of millions of hours of hunting videos, they do not represent the majority of hunters. This is nothing more than a scare tactic. City people will never understand the wild because what the info they get is from other city people.
Come out and hike the entire length of the womble trail with me for a month, then lets talk!!

We have a dog and a cat, and over the past few weeks we've found 5 of these worms. They are about 2-4 inches long, about as skinny as the stick on a Q-tip is, and very dark. They're alive when we find them too. We know that they must be coming from our pets, but don't know which one (maybe it's both) or what they are. Please help!!!

I would like to get a puppy and a kitten about the same age so they would grow up together and be friends. I have thought of naming the puppy - Kitty and the kitten - Puppy. What do you think? Wouldn't this be cute?

I've been wanting to get either a rabbit or a ferret but not sure which one i best. I have 2 cats that stay inside so it needs to get along with them and I want it to have personality bc sometimes it seems like rabbits don't have much of a personality but I'm not sure.
