Yes, do separate them, or you will have baby hamsters!

Do NOT feed a hamster fresh fruit/veg every day! They can get chronic diarrhoea from a diet like this, and die very quickly. Remember they are desert animals, and you don't get fresh veg in the desert, so it's not actually part of their natural diet, so they can get on just fine without any at all, as long as you are feeding a proper hamster mix and they are eating all parts of that.

Your hamster may have just been storing the paper in his pouches rather than eating it (the pouches in his mouth). It's always best to use petshop bedding as it's been sterilised and is not dusty.

Put the males in one cage and females in another one. If they are together right now, you may end up with 2 litters in a short time (gestation is 18-21 days). If your females are pregnant, they will need separate cages too or they may kill each others babies. I have a list available for hamsters on specific foods they can and cannot have, dwarfs can't have certain food due to them getting diabetes from eating those foods. The list is lengthy, which is why I need to be emailed. Email me at wolfinator25840@yahoo.com and I will sent it back to you. Put "Hamster food list" in the subject so I know what it pertains to and don't accidentally delete it.
They may be putting the paper in their pouches to move it where they want it. Make sure you see the paper in their bed area. I give it to all of mine and they've never eaten it, only use it for their beds.

I would feed them veggies, about 3 times a week... I suggest carrots and cabbage, for veggies, and apples for fruit :) And, I would keep them seperated if you don't want them to breed, because it is common... And I've heard that most hamsters will eat that type of bedding or shred. I used to have a hamster and pet stores like petsmart or petco usually will give you alot of information on what types of bedding are best for the type of hamster... Hope this helped!

Fresh veggies should be given as a treat ONLY. Over feeding them this will cause wet tail and that's almost always fatal.

Males and females should be seperated. No acceptions.

Try buying hamster fluff, you can get it at any pet store and even walmart. Chances are they were eatinng the toilet paper.

Please, DO NOT listen to the people who are telling you to give your hamsters a lot of veggies reguarly. This WILL cause wet tail, which almost always kills your animals, even with vet treatment.

yes separate them, unless you want to end up with hundreds of hamsters. They probably werent eating it, just tearing it up. You should feed them fresh fruits or veggies two to three times a week and always have fresh hamster food and water in there for them. But yes I would definitely recommend separating them.

They like to shred and nest in toilet paper, so i would not worry about that. Since you have males and female you should separate the males and females from each other or you will have breeding. Here is a site that will list safe fruits and vegetables and will tell you how to gradually introduce fruits and vegetables.

How often to feed your hammies fresh fruits & veggies really depends on individual owners. I feed mine with small portions of fresh foods about thrice weekly. My friend feeds hers only on fresh foods, which means on a daily basis.

I would advice you to separate the male & female if you do not want a baby boom, cos hamsters reproduce really really fast.

As for the toilet paper, don't worry.. they're just stuffing them in their cheek pouches to transport them to another area why they would like the toilet paper to be.

Hope the info helps.

You can give your hamster fruit once or twice a week
The hamsters usually enjoy shredding toilet paper and if they eaten it, it wont harm them because its so thin(skiny) so it will immidiately melt like ice lol go into tiny bits because it isnt fat like news papers so give your hamster fruit once or twice a week
and if your pet has eaten the toilet paper your hamster will still be fine so dont worry
Hope i helped

Separate the boys and girls. You may even have to separate the males from each other as well.

Fresh fruit and vegies are best given daily or at least a few times a week.

Toilet paper is fine, they are just making their bedding comfy.

Put in a tree branch for climbing and gnawing with their teeth.

Also, give them some small empty boxes / packaging to hide in and make a bed.

Feed fruit and veg daily especially if grass is limited. Separate the boys quick before you get fights, but i have found girls live quite well together. you could have them boy-girl, boy-girl, depending if you want more babies. They are probably eating it because they are bored, give them a wood block from your pet shop and they should munch on this which will also help keep their teeth short.
