So my grandpa took in two horses because they needed a home and were having trouble finding someone to take in both of them. Problem is i have no idea how to care for them. I understand the basic of basics, like brushing (which i've been doing), and some body language like they're irritated when they're ears go back, but i hate to say it but i am a little afraid of them (esp the bigger one) and I'm wanting to start walking them. What i mean is walking them while i walk beside them. I tried a few times but Roudy and Sassy just knock their head up and down and pin they're ears back. It got to the point where my sister would get in front of them and offer them a carrot while keep stepping back. Eventually i'd like to ride them but i'd like to bond and get over my fear first...... So long story short.... any tips? Thanks!

A few weeeks ago I found three hermit crabs that looked dead! I thought, "maybe this is what they do." So today the last one that was not dead was on it's back, without it's shell? .... It was moving all around today!! I didn't touch it .. I don't know what I did.. I have them in a 10 gallon tank. With a heat pad and it was at the right temp..

I am moving my horse from a pasture in Texas to an equestrian center in California in May. The facility only feeds alfalfa cubes. I bought a bag and have attempted to encourage my horse to eat them as snacks, but he refuses. I have tried breaking them into flakes, and mixing it with his grain- neither worked. Any suggestions?

The song says see how they run, butwouldn't you think that if they ran they would run into something and injure their little mouse parts? I imagine it would be quite dangerous for blind mice to run. Thoughts and or opinions?

I REALLY want a cute little pet, a rodent like a hamster. I don't want to get a hamster though, I;ve heard that they bite and their not very sensitive animals. I already got a guinea pig but it died a couple of years ago so not one of those. I was going to get a rat, but then I found out that they were very high matinence pets. WHAT DO I GET?????

We have a litter of 7 dwarf hamsters, 7 days old. It appears mother is about to die, and has abandoned the nest. (She was a great mom to her other 2 litters). We've fed the babies twice using enflac baby formula and a syringe. No luck finding a "wet nurse" so far. Anybody know of any better "milk substitutes" we can use to nurse the babies with? I doubt the chances of our sucess, but we have to try!

Thanks,
KJ

Ok so I have a 7 month old chihauhau and she is very sweet. I just got a new kitten bout 10 weeks old. I introduced them and they both arnt bothered by eachther my chi will come up and lick the kitten and the kitten just sits there he doesnt run away. I was so amazed how they just clicked. Of course I did get the occassional hiss when my chi got to rambunctious and the kitten let her know it was too much. But I am trying to establich a relationship with the kitten and my chi keeps interfering. I often play with them both at the same time and seperately. I give my chi lots of attention ut when its the kittens one on one turn my chi crys constantly and I feel bad. What should i do?
