Some basic facts about rabbits:
Rabbits are NOT low maintenance pets. They require as much work as a dog or a cat.
Rabbits can live 8-10years or longer. Are you prepared to make that kind of commitment?
The NECCESARY spay/ neuter can cost $100 or more.
Female rabbits have an over 80% chance of getting and DYING from cancers of the reproductive organs. If you do get a female rabbit, get her spayed and MAKE SURE the vet REMOVES the ovaries and uterus, otherwise the risk for cancer is still there.
Rabbits require routine veterinary care.
You'd have to have a large cage for the rabbit and be able to let it out for a few hours every day. You'd have to rabbit proof your room. They like to chew shoes and electrical cords.
Rabbits are WONDERFUL pets, but they require work, money, and time. Please, before you get one, make sure you can give it everything it needs.
Here is a web site that can teach you all about having a rabbit as a pet:

You may want to consider having a rat as a pet. (If you are not freaked out by rats)
They don’t require as much from their owners. They live about 5 years, can be very friendly and cuddly, and can be taught tricks. I knew a girl that had a rat that would sit on her shoulder like a parrot and kiss her neck. He was so sweat.

I had the same problem.
=)
My rabbit is put in the living room, and it never has any stenches unless we dont clean the cage in 1 week. I have to clean it every 7 days or so.
My parents didnt let me keep it inside, but my dad let me keep it in here, soo its there. As long as I keep the cage clean, and let it out every 2 days for some excercise, my parents wont mind.
But rabbits are amazingg pets..and as they get older, they learn alot of new things. =)
BY THE WAY, you DONT have to get a male spayed if he/she doesnt spray by 7 months old. If its a female, you HAVE to. But a male, its not needed.
good luck on the bunny ^.^

You can put a cage in your room for the rabbit. It shouldn't smell if you keep the cage tidy. Geez Mom and Dad-dogs are wonderful not boring like birds or fish. Just kidding. Good luck with your bunny!

Rabbits can be great house pets. Fixing them is going to have a huge impact on their pet quality, too. Rabbits can be litter trained, so you can easily just clean the litter tray every day or every other day and there shouldn't be a smell. I linked the best (in my opinion) Rabbit Care website that's good to read if you're considering a bunny.

Rabbits are great pets and can easily be litter box trained and can even be trained to walk on a leash. If you don't want to fix your rabbit, I would suggest getting a female. Male rabbits spray and the odor from their urine is stronger than that of a female.

It should be all right. Just make sure you clean the cage, the pan (or whatever you use to catch rabbit droppings) and wash the rabbit with a damp rag regularly.
