The babies should still be in their nestbox if their eyes aren't open. The mother usually feed when nobody is arund, so just look for signs that they are being fed, not that you actually see them being fed. The mother should be on free feed at the moment, and should have plenty of feed until the babies are weaned. Once the babies open their eyes they will start wandering around the cage and will start nibbling on various things but will also continue to nurse. Once they are about 6 weeks old you can take them from their mother and do what you want with them. They will natually wean off of their mother's milk and onto feed during their first 6 weeks. Hope that helps!

Baby bunnies don't start to eat pellets until they are about 3-4 weeks old. I don't usually see my mom's nursing their kits as they only do it once or twice a day! Check the babies tummies as long as they are round and swollen it means they are being fed and you have nothing to worry about. however, if their stomachs are wrinkled up and you can see their ribs and other bones then what you'll have to do is hold the mom on her back and place the babies on her belly for them to nurse. Good luck!

No, you don't need to feed them. Rabbits feed their babies once, maybe twice a day; usually at night when we don't see it. The rest of the time the mother may or may not even be in the nest box. If none of them are dying, they are fine and being fed.

A 7 month old could have finger meals. purely google 'infant led weaning', you would be very shocked at what babies this youthful are able to consume. My son does like purees, so i don't do 'organic' infant led weaning, yet he's likewise been having finger meals for the reason that we began solids around 6 months. that's frightening each and every so often, because of the fact there will be gagging in contact, yet i found out quickly adequate that that's purely area of the academic technique, determining the thank you to pass nutrition around in his mouth and what length bites to take. The gag reflex is located extra to the front of the mouth in a sprint one, so gagging does not advise 'very very nearly choking'. I used to think of that babies are unable to get a similar quantity of nutrition in whilst self-feeding, yet my son proved me incorrect on that when I first gave him a banana. as quickly as I mash a banana and spoon feed it to him, he will consume decrease than one million/2 a banana at a time. Then I purely gave him an entire, in part peeled banana to feed himself, and watched in ask your self as he truly VANISHED the full element desirable away. i grew to become into even finding below his extreme chair because of the fact i grew to become into confident he would desire to have dropped one million/2 of it as quickly as I had my eyes grew to become for a 2nd, yet no, the full element grew to become into purely long previous. Having reported all this: do not look too lots at solids because of the fact the answer on your son not gaining weight. very very nearly all solids are much less dense in energy than breastmilk. in case you will get your son to nurse extra (and that would contain offering much less solids, because of the fact they take in area in his abdomen) that's extra probably to get his weight benefit back heading in the right direction than getting him to take extra solids.

Best to ask this question to a vet but I would assume that if they are still attempting to nurse, they still need to.
