Yes, my cat Cynders cried when we were putting her down due to a terminal illness (Feline Lupus internal, not external wich is more common) with pneumonia fully in one lung and 3/4 in the other. She was so strong willed not to go she lived after the first injection and had to be given a second one after 10 minutes. My vet was not surprised, she'd been a fighter all her life. She was diagnosed with a rare form of Feline Lupus at 4 months that should have taken her life within the month, but she was so strong willed, she held on until she was over 5 years old, my vet had never seen this happen with this disease before, all the rest he tried to treat all died within the month.

I'm sad with tears in my eyes myself while typing this, a rescued mouse we took in a couple weeks ago, suddenly lost weight, stopped eating and drinking in only 24 hours, my 17 yr old is giving up her sleep (she's got school in 5 hours too) helping feed him water to try and rehydrate him, it's working some. He's more active, but still won't eat (food after hydration). She may not go to school. To us animals are more important then getting to school, work can be made up, an animals life can't be made up if they pass from not trying.

Yes animals cry, because you can't see the tears dosent mean they cant cry.
One of the kittens at work got her head stuck through the gaps in the kitten houses and she was crying...i was so scared i comforted her until we helped her get her head out.

yes, some do cry...is the short answer. which ones do cry and which ones do not shed a tear ...is a long shot. since animal species is huge -- if you include insects and other. i will talk for my dog -- yes, he does cry...and feels...
emotions of his master better then doctors and close associates. hope it helps.

Most animals don't (with the exception of human beings), but there is a large, gentle marine mammal called a dugong who lives in the Indian Ocean and sheds tears when in trouble or pain.

Yeah my dog cries sometime. He's sad and then I get sad because I have to leave him. But then when we get back together we're both happy again.

yes but not with tears, vocally only, becuase they dont have the same glands in thier eyes connected to thier emotions like we do.
