They perform a dance, its called a waggle dance. This dance entails them flying in a figure 8 pattern repeatedly, the angle to the vertical indicates direction of the food source from the sun, the length of the figure 8 indicates distance to food source and the intensity of the dance indicates quality and quantity of the food source.

When they come back to the hive they do a dance. It basically looks like they're shaking their whole bodies. Depending on how fast they move, etc...tells the other bees where things are at.

It sounds strange but they actually return to the hive and do a "dance" for lack of better words.
