NO......this is a lie and whoever told you this is WRONG they do not make dog or cat or any food with dead animals on the road...First of all this is incorrect because it wouldn't be healthy for the dog..etc because the animal might have diesess and also because there are recipes on the back of the bag or can or pouch..etc. Anyway I think whoever told you this should not lie and try to get their thoughts fixed because nothing of this is true...Also I am wondering who told you this...?

No, this is not true at all. Animals dead on the side of the road are usually dripping with all kinds of infections. it would be far to much of a risk to the dog food companies to sell food made from dead, infected, and possibly diseased animals.
Hope this helped

Sure hope not, most places have rules that animals must be alive when they arrive at the rendering plant, which is where PETA gets videos of animals with broken legs being skidded off trucks with cables. Although if roadkill are fresh sometimes people will take the meat home if not bruised/mangled badly. Cats make excellent trapping bait.

I am not sure if it is true, yet that is the rumor I have heard as well..I would hate to think that is the case--if so, it is not a wonder our pets are not safe...I do know a man near by who raises tigers and other exotic animals and he has a crew that goes out and picks up road kill to feed his animals, so I expect this rumor of road kill in dog food could be legitimate- Yuck! I wish we knew how to get the facts...If this is so, how can consumers protect their animals from diseased and contaminated food? Maybe someone who posts will fill us all in! Much luck in your investigation!

i hope not, usually they use like dead chicken, turkey, and pig guts or parts for dog food. Sometimes they use cow gut parts. I used to live on a dairy farm, and they would slaughter our cows and take certain parts of their organs and guts, put it on a truck and send it off to the dog and cat food processing place. This is only what i heard, not for sure if its true, just seen the animal guts loaded up on a truck.
