Does this look worth the money: http://www.amazon.com/National-Geographic-Deep-Jellyfish-Aquarium/dp/B000MT3R5E/ref=pd_sbs_k_title_1 ? BTW I like it so don't criticize it because you don't like it! I just want to know if quality is good or not...

I am not sure what I did wrong, with my 10 gal aquarium, we followed the instructions and when we got home today, our gourami fish was dead. I am a beginner at having an aquarium and needing to know what would be the best for this beginner aquarium. I am not sure what I am doing wrong, with this aquarium, as I have put in the AquaSafe per instructions, I have the right amount of rocks, heater and a Whisper Filter for the aquarium. My algae eaters are still alive, as well as our other fish. I'm not sure why, our gourami fish died. Please no harsh or rude answers. Like I said, I'm a beginner for owning my first aquarium.

I have a little Black molly and it is around 4 or so months old, but still really small (less than half inch size) I want to know what it is so I can name it. I already know HOW to tell the difference between the sexes, but my mom says you can't tell yet since it is so young/small. My question is are they born with the right parts, or do they develope after a certain age? As of right now it looks female, but I don't know, since it is so young.

I have a florescent light on my fish tank and I believe it to be too bright due to the fact that when I turn it on the fish hide in the plants and under rocks.
Need Possible Solutions.
Do florescent lights come in different intensities or watts?
Any other ideas?

My beta was overfed (over the course of a couple of months) seven or eight beta bites a day. (My bad, I didn't know and he looked bored). I have been putting medicine (pet store recommended it) a drop every other day or so for the last week. It has turned the water blue. He also has a live plant in there. Every now and then I'll put a beta bite in, but he is definetely not interested in it. He's tilting slightly, and then once in a while he'll swim really fast, almost like he is trying to shake this sickness off. I hope he makes it. My question is, how long can he last without eating? It has been almost ten days like this!

I have a 20 gallon tank. I tested my water when my poor pleco died the day after I got him. I have ammonia levels of 8.0. and I my fish have Ich disease. My two remaining tiger barbs have it really bad, but my parrot fish and kissing gourami only have a few white spots. So far i have changed the water, taken out my carbon filter, and am using API super Ich cure to treat the Ich. I'm almost done the treatment but it does not seem to be helping. I'm thinking I should treat the ammonia before I worry anymore about the Ich. Can someone please help. I've alreadly lost one tiger barb and two plecos. I really don't want to loss my other fish, especially the parrot fish.

I know all about having an aquarium.....I know all about filters and vacs and plants and all that good stuff because I've had about 3 or 4 before, but now I just wanna have all gupppies and platies.. I wanna be able to breed both, and have no problem getting a tank or what ever I need for the fry......But I dont know how many of each will fit in a 10 gallon tank. And since I wanna breed both, how many females per males of each would I have to put in for them to breed? I know all about the 1 inch per gallon thing, but I also heard that it could be 1 fish per gallon as long as they were small.........I also seen some where where it should be 1 male per 2 females too ( so the males wont bully the females).

I was just estimating, but could I fit 5 guppies and maybe 4 platies? or five of each? with 2 males per 3 females? Or 2 male guppies with 3 females and 2 male platies with 2 females?

I was wondering about my clownfish, he seems to be acting different. He is swimming at the top of the tank and sometimes is completely long ways in the tank and looks as if he is gasping for air at the top of the tank. He doesn't seem to have anything wrong with him like color change or spots on him he just seems to be acting different and not as active as he usually is. Should I be concerned?

I also have christmas/java moss and java fern. I have conflicting topics on whether or not I should use aquarium salt. I'm worried about killing my plants mostly. I know guppies and mollies won't mind. The corys and tetras might be a little sensitive. The question: Will the aquarium salt kill or hurt my christmas/java moss and java fern? Please include resources to back up your facts.

I just checked the thermometer and it says the temp. is about 82F. Will my fishes be okay? I guess I don't need to buy a heater after all, I think the light is causing the tank to get that warm... but besides the side info... will my tropical community fishes be okay?
