I have one calico gold and one black moore in 1 and 1/2 gallons of water. No filter though. I feed them one to three times daily and they are about 1 1/2 inches long now.

i have a simple fish tank for cold water fish. it is clean often, and my fish are fed regular. but it seems my fish either die within hours of bein put in the tank or within a few weeks, they never reach full life, none of my fish show any signs of infection (white spot). any suggestions?

Do some of you ever feel like picking up the computer monitor and throwing it out the window after reading some of the idiotic answers given on this site? I find myself thinking" Are some people really doing this to live animals?"

Okay, yesterday I went to walmart and browsed their fish like I always do. I know it is not wise to buy fish from there.. Anyways, I saw this fish that looked like a rainbow shark except its body was midnight black and it had silver/grey colored fins and tail. There was close to 10 in one tank, and they were with peppered and bronze corydoras. There also in that same tank was another type of shark. It was pure black. It had a black body, fins, everything. The only one in the tank. The stickers above the tank were RAINBOW SHARK, RUBY RED SHARK, ASSORTED CORYDORAS. Anyone know what type of shark catfish these fish are? If so, could I ever put them in a 29 gallon?
Thanks So Much!!!!!!

In a tank of Shrimp and Snails, what are very small, long, white animals? Oh, and they slide along the glass.

My gold fish has been lying on it's side on the bottom of the dank just moping around since last night. he tries to move, but then falls back to the bottom. he sometimes turns upside down. his guills are barely moving. he's 6 years old. we watched him last night and thought he would die within the hour. i went to bed and today still the same.

is he suffering?

should i flush him or just let him be?

i cried, is that normal?

how long will it take for him to die?

I want a handheld device that has a phone is wi fi enabled and can support normal surfing, i.e. can view heavily loaded pages that have diversified fonts and visual contents. Of course price is a factor. I can do away with wi fi if that increases the price.

I have a 10 gallon aquarium and my filter just doesn't seem to be doing a good job (Penn-Plax Cascade 100....I don't reccommend it) so I am going to buy a marineland penguin filter with the biowheel (I already have a biowheel one for my 5 gallon tank and love it), so here is my delimma....which one do I get? I am trying to decide between the Penguin 100 for up to 20 gallon tanks and filters 100gph, and Penguin 150 for up to 30 gal tanks and filters 150gph. I am leaning toward the 150 because it has a bigger biowheel and larger filter cartridge and frankly I am a bit paranoid because the crappy penn plax is for up to 20 gallons and can't cut a 10 gallon aquarium. I guess my main question is will my fishies be hurt by me using a filter that is recommended for "all aquariums up to 30 gallons"? Here is a link with info about the filters. http://www.marineland.com/products/consumer/con_penguinfiltersnew.asp

Please, only post if you really know what you're talking about. Thanks!

So I recently just bought 5 neons for my 4 yr established tank. There havn't been any major temp. fluctuations, maybe +/- 2 degrees. Three days after buying them, one seems to be developing ich. I plan on taking him back to the store to get a proper diagnosis, as well as getting some treatment if it is required. What can I do about ich? Please describe the treatment process, as well as the odds of survival. Thanks!
