what is the fastest growing fish for an aquarium???

Oscars. They grow FAST. and they will grow to the size of barley being able to turn in a tank, if they are the only ones in it, before they stop growing. I would get a 35 gallon tank for them if I were you. But they have lots of spunk. My friends Oscar will try and run noses with you if you put your face to the tank. =)

I put a 5 inch Oscar in a 29 gallon tank, and 1 year later, he is 10 inches. Oscars live long and grow very large so my answer are Oscars.

Oscars can grow from 1" to 8" in a single year, sometimes even larger.

Goldfish,depending on the size of the aquarium.The more fish you have the slower they grow.However,they are also the messiest and tend to go after smaller fish

My money would be on some of the killifish. Some can go from egg to mature adult in 2 months.
