I LOVE seahorses. I am crazy about them. I would love to own one as a pet someday in a saltwater aquarium. I understand that salt water aquariums are harder to keep than freshwater. Do seahorses need other creatures to live with? What size tank is best? What is the average lifespan for one of these little guys? Any and all advice is appreciated!

What is the biggest and / or meanest fish species I can keep in a 55 gal tank? I have ph 6.7 and a good ammount of plants. I have a green terror in it that I will be selling since he'll be getting too big for the tank. I'm not going to be upgrading tanks, so it needs to be a fish who will fit at adult size. I've been examining the dwarf cichlids the past week, and I'm interested at examining the other side of the scale.

I am starting a new 30 gallon aquarium, and I already have an albino clawed frog (it is very small now) to go in the tank. I am looking for some tank mates for it. I ultimately would like some live breaders, and the pet store said that any tropical fish would go well with one of these albino frogs. I would like whatever variety of fish I choose to be able to breed easily. I am considering 2 options right now: Guppies and Platies OR Mollies and Platies.

I am worried about the mollies because I think they may be too aggressive - plus I read they like more salt in their water than the frog would like. So, I am leaning toward the guppy/platy option. Any thoughts or advice?

I do realize that, at some point, the frog will become bigger and start eating the juvenile fish. Given how prolific of breeders these fish are, and the fact that live food is recommended for the frog - I think that's OK.

So, I bought an albino clawed frog today. It is very small (like less than the size of a penny), and I have read that they grow to the size of your fist. So, I figure it is a juvenile. These are aquatic frogs, that live their entire life underwater (unlike common frogs).

I picked this one because it was so feisty - it was swimming around really fast. Funny thing - it was swimming so fast that I didn't notice it was missing half of one arm until I got half way home from the store. Now, I wonder - is this an injury, and is it part of this young frog's life cycle/development? I don't know a lot about these frogs, but if they start out like tadpoles, is it possible the this young frogs arm is still in the process of forming?

I know there is something wrong with my fish. He's a quite a bit fatter than when I got him, and now he isn't eating. I looked up some stuff online and I think he's got the dropsy symptoms. I want to treat them, but I want to make sure this is what it is. I've posted some pictures, can someone please confirm this? Or if not tell me what is wrong with him?

These are the best pictures I could get. If you look really close I think you can see the scales fanning out some.

My 29 gallon freshwater tank is just getting rid of an ammonia infection. I know it is normally green but it is brown. If you could also help me on how to make it green. Also, we just got it about a month ago. There were 9 fish but five died from the high ammonia level so we have 2 dwarf gouramis a barb and a blue gourami.
