How do know if my guppy is pregnant?

One of my guppies keeps geting bigger and bigger and a little more slow and sluggish.

when the egg sack begins to grow, the guppy will have a black spot her belly that will become very visable. in about a month, you should put her in a breeder box, that floats on the top of the tank. It will have thin slots that the babies can fall down through but the mother cannot get to thebabies (she will eat them).
Feed her about 3 times a day. If you do not want a breeder box, make sure you have plenty of plants in the tank ot places the babies can hide in. crush flaked food very small for the babies and note that they do not live well in the breeder box. Best to set up a 5 gallon tank and transfer them as soon as possible. Feed 3-5 times a day in small amounts and change 50% of their water every few days.

You look near the rear of the guppy (where it defecate) you should be able to see a bunch of black dots. Those are the eyes of the babies. Oh ya also if you have noticed that you fish has been putting on weight, that is a good sign. One tip guppies have their babies around the full moon cycle. It will give birth either on a full moon day or the day before or after. The other reason could be because you guppy may be getting older and slowing down and with the reduced about of exercise it will get fatter.
