Sometimes the eating habits are different. Check the stomach and look for size change. Attitudes change sometimes. Be careful about how you treat the fish. Good Luck!

their bellys get huge! like they're bloated. when they are about to deliver they try to find a spot in the tank that is somewhat secluded. it is helpful if you provide your fish with live plants and/or decorations that can be used to hide in. depending on what type of fish you have ... live bearer or eggs.... if eggs than you need rocks in the tank so the fish can use the rocks to attach the eggs. if live bearers then the plants/decorations come in handy for the fry to hide in to avoid being eaten by bigger fish. the rule is if a fish can fit in another fish's mouth it can and probably will become lunch. good luck!

You mean " P R E G N A N T ". In live bearers it is fairly easy, the female gets fat on the bottom and the area becomes swollen and dark .

usually if a fish developes a very large stomach it is pregnant. be careful as sometimes they may have a bloating disease or just be the fish getting the most food in your tank.

Their belly gets huge. I have some that give live birth. You can almost see them through her belly. Alot of dark spots. She had like 75 babies!
