I have 4 guppies but they have recently become aggressive towards each other? 2 espically have been acting very strange.. chasing each other round the tank and 'fanning tail out and swimming backwards very quickly'..(Hope that is a good enough description) Any particular reason?

I have had the tank for about 1 month and he has been normal..his tank mates are a larger clown (Oscellaris), longnose hawk, a royal gramma and a milk sleeper goby. The little clownfish hasn't eaten all day,doesn't seem interested and is resting on the bottom. He seems to be breathing rapidly. Any suggestions. Tank chemical all checked normal and all the other fish appear normal.

Hi everyone

I have had a horrible time with finrot on my one goldfish. I now have her in a hospital tank and keep it very very clean. I have noticed that her top fin's edge has now truned slightly black...what does this mean? Is it healing or is it gonna get worse again? Thanks

I have used CLR, Lime away, Havent tryed muratic acid yet , Ive even tryed scraping the calcium deposits or (white haze) from the glass and just keep breaking razorblades, any one had success with this problem

my sis and br in law are moving and gave me there 2 goldfish. They are both bigger than the betta, can they all survive in the 10 gallon with proper filtration or will the ammonia and nitrate levels still be to high?

Hi there I am having a problem with my nitrate level and I am getting different answers on how often to feed....from small amounts x2 a day right through to x1 a week, I am changing 20% of the water weekly at the moment...2x clown fish with sea enemonie, 1x wrasse in tank 1 65 ltr, 4x small fish, 1x larger fish looks like dori in tank 2 70ltr 2x filter systems in each tank...hope someone can help...thanks Tracy

I have a 10G freshwater tank set up. I'd like to add either a pleco or a catfish, but I would like the smallest breed. I have small schools of Tetras, Platies, and I plan to get one (maybe two) dwarf guorami.

Are there any plecos or catfish that fit the bill? If so, what do they require? As of now I have a rock, several fake plants, and fake grass patches. Would I need to put real plants in? Also, can either the pleco or the catfish live w/o any other plecos or catfish in the tank? I only plan to get one.

i have a 45 gallon freshwater fishtank its my 2nd week and am noticing that theres little white hair like substances apppering on uneattin flakes flotting around that were laying at the bottom ??? what is it? is it good/ bad?? is it like beneffical bacteria ?????

i moved my tank at xmas my goldfish a very large fantail with the funny bag head! he appeared to hurt his eye a little then i noticed other fish picking at his eye and the algae eater eating at his back!i have removed the goldfish and he was missing scales on his back he appeared to be getting better then all affected areas turned black?? and spreading?? He eats fine but getting worse ive tried pimafix/epsomsalt/stresscoat not helping what to do??

my partner has been filtering and preparing his tank for just over a month so he can keep marine fish, however disaster struck today, we bought a dancing shrimp and two scarlett hermits, and a nice star polp however after just over 2 hours the shrimp jumped off this mortal coil and so it seems have the hermits, upon testing the water everything is ok, anyone got any suggestions?

Today i was going to try to breed my zebra daino's because they were ready. last night the female was fat and now she is skinny. I think they spawned when my dad opened the blinds in my room this morning. I was still asleep so i don't know. Did they spawn and when will the do it again?
