my baby bettas are so small... i wonder if thehre is any thing wrong with them..... they are 2 months and a few weeks old but they are not even a centimeter yet.... i think they are that small because when they were first born i wasn't sure what to feed them (i was anewbie to breeding) and just crushed up my "TRETRAMIN tropical granule" to fine poweder then fed them.... i fed them that for 4 weeks. then i knew what to feed them(bbs).... and now i have started their diet of dry food. they are doing good. i only got 4 betta fry left.

and my new spawn of bettas fry are a week and holf and i have been feeding them brine shrimp their whole life....

so give me some opinoins and things you might know of....

I've had an aquarium for 10 years and never had a bad algae problem until about a month ago. Now, with my fish that eat algae, the algae is getting ahead of me. Is/are there are any product(s) that I can use to help control the algae?

Ok, so i bought a beta fish and one of those plants in a vase for it to live in, and the plant started dying when i got home. Granted, it is very cold out today, but it was exposed to the cold for only a minute. The fish seems fine, but does anyone know what i can do to save the plant, if anything??

I have a Neon Tetra that has developed a couple of white spots, more like discoloration, has a droopy back tail, and can't maintain his balance. He swims up and down and roles on his side? Is he just old? Does he have an infection in his air bladder? Or does he have a disease? Furthermore, should I kill him? I don't want to infect the other fish. I have a very healthy aquarioum otherwise.

Of a fish tank with cabinet ,I am sick of my tank,it is taking up too much space.I could do with downsizing or at least finding one with a different shape where it is smaller in width maybe.I am willing to possibly swap too.I am in leeds so anywhere in yorkshire and surrounding areas will do me fine. Please get in touch.

I would like to get a system like the many I see at pratically every breeder I buy from, its a large system of tanks, about 1-2 gallons each, hosing around 40+ tanks like this that have constant water flowing/filtering/heating going on.

I've been searching for a place that deals with these setups but cannot find one.

So where can I get one of these?

It hasn't been eating and only gets up occasionally we had another fish in the tank which died a week ago. I think this and the current fish had a fight which led to the death of the other one.My fish has only been acting wierd since this time.

I have been cleaning my tank about every 2 or 3 weeks because it starts to turn green within a few days. I take the water out. I wipe down the glass and rinse off the objects and gravel with warm water. I wipe out the filter and put new ones in. I make sure everything is wiped down. I put tablets in the water to get rid of the chemicals that might be in tap. I don't pour the fish back in with the old water I use my net to put them back in. Why does it keep turning green so quickly and is there any specific way to clean a fish tank so that it stays clean longer?

I want a salt water tank...I have a fresh water tank with goldfish in it because it's for my 2 year old...but I want a salt water tank for me=) I heard that they are really expensive and hard to keep the water at a certain level...I dont wanna kill my fish from a silly mistake because the fish are expensive..the reason I want a salt water tank is because my kids are in love with nemo so i want a tank with all the nemo caractors..so my question is how do i go about setting one up and the whole prosess that it takes? Is it hard to maintain and keep at a certain level of quality for the fish? Yeah i know that i said the tank was for me and I want nemo characters for my kids but what benifits my kids make me happy so yeah it's for me as in I will be caring for them...

Hi, I have a 30gal live bearer tank with 5 mollie and 3 platies. A few babies have dropped when I didnt get prego mom out in time. This may happen from time to time so I need a bottom feeder that isnt going to be a serious problem to the occasional fry. Also can anyone think of one for the nursery tanks as well as I dont have a filter system for these because I am afraid of them getting sucked. (even with a spong or fabric over the intake. These babies are small!) Any SAFER bottom feeder ideas would be great!
