Ok, so i bought a beta fish and one of those plants in a vase for it to live in, and the plant started dying when i got home. Granted, it is very cold out today, but it was exposed to the cold for only a minute. The fish seems fine, but does anyone know what i can do to save the plant, if anything??

IF you want to keep the plant alive, take it OUT of the vase and put it into a pot with dirt. Peace lillies are a bog plant and need dirt to live.
Bettas NEED a filtered and heated tank of atleast 5 gallons to thrive.
They are after all warmwater tropical fish. They are also carnivores, they DO NOT eat the roots at all. Whomever thought up the peace lilly and betta setup needs to be killed.

Beta Fish Plant

the fish will die of cold before the plant does. if you got a peace lilly they can be very dramatic and droop and come right back. it might just be a little mad because its roots got shifted or something. make sure you feed your fish -- it really doesn't like eating plant roots. bettas are carnivores and eat mosquito larvae in the wild. you can get it some frozen bloodworms (thats what they call mosquito larvae in the fish world) or some hikari betta pellets. pellets are like 2 dollars at walmart . you want to change the water weekly and when you do make sure you use a water condtioner for the fish. let the water sit out some so it is the same temperature as the water in the vase now. you can also get your fish a bigger vase or a gallon bowl and he will be much happier.

hi, judging out of your video, i do not imagine the plant is getting sufficient basic. also, you would want to get diverse forms of water because bottled water is filtered to the point that many organic nutrition are taken away and thats no longer strong on your plant. Being a betta proprietor myself and planning on paying for plant life for my 10 gallon tank, I recommend getting an extra reachable plant like bamboo, its really basic to look after! also, get some type of conditioner thats specialized for plant life in a fish tank/bowl. i'm hoping I helped, and robust success! : )

Throw the plant away, that is not a good setup for a betta. It is only for decoration and store profit. Bettas need lots of surface space to breathe. They need food fit for carnivores. Pellets. They only nibble the plant roots when they are trying to keep from starving to death. Why not invest a few dollars into a 2.5 gallon tank for the betta.

Most likely because there is a lack of c02 or oxygen in the vase, I really don't recomend putting your fish in a vase though, his life will be pretty short.

The plant may live but you should cut off any dead or dying leaves and branches. Change the water when it gets cloudy and use non-chlorined water.

There is plant food for aquariums at your local pet shop. Plants also like light so they can grow.
