I have a 70L (roughly 15.3 gallons) tropical freshwater JUWEL tank.
I already have,
4x Zebra Danio,
2x Guppy,
1x Powder Blue Gourami,
2x Elegant Corydoras.
I would like something non agressive, non territorial and quite hardy.
I have fake plants, gravel and three rocks if that helps.
Any Ideas? Or you could just tell me your favourite fish or what you have.
Thanks.

... desk. It's about 5 gallons. How many fish can fit in that size and be healthy? I was hoping 4, one of which will be the resident gold fish. What other breeds of fish can survive together in a small environment like the one I am thinking of purchasing ?

My female beta is covered in a 90% clear whitish gel. Yes, it is a female and we had her for about 3 weeks. I've had pet fish my whole life and they all live a long time(including male betas I've had). I changed her water today. It was de-chlorinated, and I didn’t mix in any of her old water. She is on a diet of Freeze dried blood-worms, and lives in a 1 gal. Tank with a fake plant. She is also swimming in a jerking monition because the gel is giving her problems moving. I put in an ick/parasite treatment about 5 min. ago. What should I do now?

Hey, I bought a fresh water lobster about 3 weeks ago, and I've been feeding him with "sinking wafers" for bottom feeders for fish tanks. But recently he has not been eating too much of this so I'm wondering if this is the right food for him?.....should I be feeding him something else?..........I was thinking of feeding him with regular fish food.......If you can help, thanks!

Its body has grown disproportionate to its head, its scales seem fluffy (like a cat when their hair is brushed backwards) and it seems to iscolate itself. Its features are red eyes, red lips and a pink lemonade (pink & yellow) appearence ~ 7 inches long. My boyfriend told me (original owner) that the fish morphed into a differnt look from its original state but I have no clue what kind of fish it is. Right now I have a mix of Koi, bass?, and 1 small catfish, to my best knowledge. I know the nights have been cold recently, but the other fish have been unaffected. Help please, anyone!

I have two Betta and they are in seprate
tank. Okay, so I cleaned my Betta's tank and the wierdest thing happened was they both died at the same day. I am not sure why that happened, I used clean purified water and put in conditioner. Does anyone know why this could have happened?

I Just brought home my new 'used' fish tank today, and the guy obviously didn't take good care of the glass because he left a crap load of hard algae all over it, My question is how can I get rid of such stubborn stuff when my credit card didn't work for a scraper. If I use vinegar, how long do I have to wait until I put water in the tank, or can I just re-wash it out until it doesn't stink. thanks.

I've been leaving my flourecesent light on my tank for 10-12 hours a day. Usaully turning it on when I get up, turning it off when I go to bed. I've notice the majority of the fish seem to hide more when the light is on, and are more active with the light off. Is to much light a bad thing? Would my fish be more comfortable without the light on so much? Is there a downside to leaving the light off more?

the water level goes 'bye-bye" by about 4 centemeters which goes below my *penn-plax smallworld filter and pump set* (where its supposed to blow the bubble thingys) preventing it to clean the water(1gallon [dont complain just answer question])

I'm about to get a 46 gallon aquairum to transfer my orandas and buy two more. I know that it's important to let the beneficial bacteria settle in the gravel so the water gets balanced chemically wise. What is the best method to do it? I have seen a liquid containing bacteria which after two weeks settles the water, but dont't know if it really works. I lost some fish when I first set up my ten gallon one, and wouldn't like to loose my orandas, which I have had for years now.

ok first, in all the pictures I see of swordtails, their top fins(I dont
know the specific name if there is one) is always laid down, and mine were like that at first,
but now they are always straight up, is this normal?

Second, my youngest, smallest swordtail, looks like she has a bit of a sunken stomach, but im not sure if its my imagenation (the other day I thought she had a hole in her head and I flipped out then looked again and it was a reflextion) So could this be internal parasites possibly? You can only really tell when you are down low, which is why im not sure if shes always had it or not cause im not normally at that level

I just bought a female betta to add to my ten gallon. There are three other fish in the tank (what kind cannot be disclosed to preserve the generality of the answers, but no they're not bettas nore do they look like bettas). Okay the thing is when I sat her little cup by the tank she stared very intently at the other fish, they took all of her attention. I can't tell if she is flaring at them because her fins are so short (common trait of females) and she is my first betta. Or could she just really want to get to know her new fish friends. I just don't want to start any fishy drama. What do you think?

I just got them yesterday. A comet, a black moors, and a calico fantail. I really want to keep them happy and healthy, but I have them in a 5 gallon tank.

I know the whole 10 gallon per fish thing through research today, but a 30 gallon tank just isn't possible for me right now. Would a ten gallon tank be ok? How long can I keep them in a 5 gallon tank before I get a larger one?

How much and how often should I replace the water in the tank? Would two liters at once a few times a week be ok?
