I don't know, but I hope keeping them alive for 3 years is not your goal. That's like having a baby and saying you want it to live for 6 months.
Goldfish live 15+ years.
To answer your question, if the tank is 150 gallons, it should work. It will still be stretching the limits of being too small, but if you work hard and don't miss a water change it should work.
If you can measure the length, width, and height of the tank I can calculate the gallons for you.
I found the aquaculture website. I'll post the link below, if you can link to the one you have that will help you get better answers.

You're $30 aquarium is probably no more than 3 gallons, and no, it cannot support 3 goldfish. For comet goldfish, 1 needs at least 30 gallons, and each one after that at least 10 gallons additional. If you can, take the fish back to the store and get a betta (the only thing that can live comfortably in a tank that size). If you can't take them back, I'd try and find someone with a pond that will take them. If you keep them they will die slowly, most likely from ammonia poisoning and stunting (goldfish should live 10+ years, not a few months).
If you're determined to keep them make sure you have a strong filtration system and that you do 40% biweekly water changes. This will help cut down on the ammonia (goldfish produce a lot of this). Please find a new home for your fish, if you care about them.

Unfortunately your tank is far too small to keep 3 goldfish in. 3 comets will require at least a 125 gallon tank as they get to over 12" long.
For $30 you likely got a 10-15 gallon tank and this is too small for any goldfish.

If your tank is at least forty gallons, yes. Measure it. If it's only twelve inches high by twelve inches deep by eighteen inches long, it's only a ten gallon and should not have any goldfish at all in it.
You would also have to have a power filter that is rated for at least sixty gallon aquariums to handle the waste from comet goldfish.

Comets can live well over 3 years in a tank around 20 gallons which will allow them to grown and school properly. Weekly water changes and ph checks are a must.
