Does it look like it is scratching against stuff? If so, it may have parasites that irritate its skin or you may have poor water quality and need a good water change.

If it is the only female and it is being chased by a male, it may be exhausted. It can get worn out and stressed to the point of death. You need to have at least two females to every male livebearer.

How long has the tank been set up? You may have high levels of ammonia or nitrite if your tank is fairly new. This can kill fish.

Male mollies as with other live-bearers can be identified by their gonopodium. The pelvic fins on the male have been converted to genital organs and resemble a tube shape. You should be able to easily identify which sex they are that way.
As for your molly leaning against the heater or plant it could be anything from being tired after being chased, or simply hiding to avoid the chase.
Good Luck

no it is not sick....you have two males and they are fighting ...or you have a female and you have a very excited ram-bunches male and wont leave her alone...so she hides.....buy a breeder and separate them for a time.....go buy another female should be 3 females to 1 male....mollies i found are very friendly with one other and very seldom eat there baby's...but don't take a chance on that...they also need some aquarium salt check with your store

Could be sick, could be trying to hide, could just be old. Most of my fish that do that don't last more than six months no matter what I do. Last time a fish of mine did that, it had ick, so you might want to look for any white spots on it, and medicate accordingly if you see them.
