Coral reefs can have sharp edges, and poweful waves can knock you onto them. Sometimes, blooms of a certain type of algae can make the coral reef itself, and certain foods (shellfish, puffer fish, etc) poisonous to humans. These foods are more popular in certain asian countries, where most poisonings occur.

If you are planning to have a coral reef aquarium setup, neither of these risks are a problem. That kind of algae cannot thrive in the aquarium, and you will not get body-slammed into the coral reef in your aquarium.

There are a very few species of coral reef inhabitants that are poisonous on their own, but most of these are not available in pet stores, or are very hard to provoke into attacking. Ask your pet store before buying any new species if you are worried. Current laws make it illegal to sell anything that could kill you without full disclosure.

Coral Reef don't kill people, it's the carelessness of people that kills them, I have been diving around coral reef for years and have not seen coral killing someone, maybe a scratch of two here andthere, and some burns by stinging corals but we're in their environment, what do we expect.

On there other hand I can name you score of place in the world where human have kill off whole stretches of coral reef.

The climate always adjustments obviously. added greenhouse gases will tend to widely used the temperature regularly by technique of technique of warming the coldest iciness and evening time temperature. The oceans are not heating up pretty. Corals stay in a wide type of warm temperature ocean temperatures. those corals that exist in the decrease area of the shape will often take advantage of any warming. those on the acute higher element of their variety received't stay to inform the tale. i do not recognize the position the sea is too warmth for coral. They commonly do not do o.k. in US territorial waters once you consider that that's probable too chilly.
