Do you think that most pit bulls turn out to be really mean , and aggersive , because me and my mother were at a shelter , because we wanted to adopt a dog. So we saw this really nice , dobermin , and pit bull mixed puppy . He was really sweet , and didn't seem aggersive at all , but my mom didn't really want him , because of all the stuff on T.V, like pit bull's attacking someone, and other things. So we ended up not getting him , because of that . What is your opinoin on pit bulls.

Thank you for answering my question !!!

I want to switch my dogs to a new healthier food and would like your advice.
I have 2 large black labs mixes, male 90 pounds and female 55 pounds.

I have been reading about different foods and it looks like:

Innova
Go Natural
Summit
Orijen
Wellness

seem like the better ones. These use all natural products, no by products and don't have all those fillers.

One of the things I noticed about them though is that they don't seem to have a lot of fruit or vegetable products. I know that I should give the dogs mostly meat but I thought that having a good mixture is better for them. Does it matter?

Does anyone use these brands? What are your experiences with them? If I do use them, can I just give my dogs some veggie table scraps to get a good mixture?

Would you recommend any other brands? I realize that making homemade raw dog food is best which I hope to do eventually but for now please give your opinions on dry dog food brands.
Thank you very much for your help

My dog... is a puppy about 6 months old. She had a hard time understanding who was boss at first beucase my sister gave her to much freedom in the downstairs of our house. Now she is confined to the kitchen and only out sometimes to be with me at night for an hour... sometimes when she gets something she isnt suppost to have (ex.pen) when you try to get near her to take it... and then again when you do finally take it or if you corner her, she turns evil. She snarls and shows her teech and gets really nasty... almost like an attack dog. She ONLY does this when she gets something she cant have and she knows you want it back. I am not sure how to stop this behavior. SHe hadn't done it in weeks even when she had something she wasn't supposed to. My sister was in charge of her the past two days when i wasnt home and now all of a sudden she did it again and worse then normal.
I do not know what to do. ANy help would be appreciated.
Any questions please let me no..
THANK U FOR ANY HELP!

I posted a question before asking the range of a Japanese Chin and someone replied with: $800-$2,000.
I am browsing in puppyfind.com for a Japanese Chin and I came across a 4 month old Chin with the cost of $150.
Here is the link: http://www.puppyfind.com/view_listing/?add_fav=1&list_id=k9cccn100r&back=%2Ffor_sale%2F%3Fbreed_id%3D67%26country%3D%26state%3D%26page%3D2%26order_by%3Drand%26back%3D%252Fsearch%252F%253Fsubmit%253D1%2526str%253DJapanese%252BChin%2526page%253D1&sid=739698e1a33e090f55ca3aa1b551b67d

Q: Are Japanese Chins at the price of $150 in good condition?

He's my first dog. I didn't expect him to start getting a gray chin until he was a lot older. Is this normal? I can't believe my baby is turning gray!!! lol

I have new flooring in part of my house and it's apparently too slippery for my dogs, while the younger ones just kinda slide across it, my older and much larger dog is having problems getting across it and she falls on it. I tried putting rugs down but they aren't very safe either as she trips on them due to her new found fear of her footing brought on by the slippery floor....what should I do for her?

I just bought Hartz Flea and Tick Plus, the once a month applicators, for dogs. I've used Frontline in the past and never seen good results. Has anyone used Hartz who has bad or good things to say? Just curious how effective it is. thanks

My partner and I have tried him with loads of different brands of dog food, dried and tinned, he goes through phases of eating fine for a few days then not at all for days, when he's not eating he is hungry but won't touch his food...tries to eat ours, looks around elsewhere for it. We've tried leaving his food for 15mins then taking it away to teach him to eat at those times but that hasn't worked. What do we do?

I adopted an abuse dog and I am trying my best to be nice to him but he is scared of certain objects like brooms and flyswatters. I train him out in my yard because if he gets scared he will pee and I do not want him to pee in the house. I hold the broom and throw treats to the dog. He used to run away but now he will sit and watch me. If I make any sudden moves he will run. I accidentally dropped the broom and he screamed and ran. My neighbor saw and accused me of beating him with the broom. I told her to get off my property which she did but she said she would call the police on me if she ever saw me do that again. Well, now I am scared because I know my dog is still not trained.

Will I be arrested or what? Should I give my dog back to the pound and get one that is not scared of anything?
I really want a dog but not one that will get me in trouble with the law. Sorry if I sound mean, but I do not want a police record. Also this is my frist dog.

I heard on the radio that a small dog chewed away a young 4 month-old baby boy's genitals ...several cases occurred like this as well in the past. Then looking at blogs, humans actually had the nerve to say it isn't fair to put down the dogs because it didn't know what it was doing. It's pathetic. If a animal can love, it can also get angry and jealous as well, right? Who's to say the animal didn't know it was harming the infant? Please. People are sick, What about those babies?!

I was hoping someone with experience in putting their dogs in weight pulling competitions could help me out in finding out more about it and the rules and regulations of the sport? If you could let me know of a site that would be great as well. Also does your dog have to be AKC to be able to compete in competitions?

We went up in the mountains in Colorado with my grandma's friends' dog. Her name was Mandy and she was a huge Newfoundland. I probably could've ridden on her. She even wore a pack and carried her treats, a bottle of water, and a portable water dish. My Grandpa carried a big blanket for us to sit on to eat lunch and cups for all us. My dad carried books and games to play up on the mountains. I carried extra jackets for all of us and my portable DVD player. My grandma's friends' carried toys for Mandy and water. My grandma carried the food and my mom walked Mandy. It was quite scenic and awesome. I just wondered if anyone else has taken a trip up mountains with a dog?
