You can call your vet and ask for an estimate of what the prices will be. They should be able to tell you how much with or without a C-section.

yes. please do not breed your female this is a very difficult breed to well breed. they have more than a few health problems and complications that can happen. this is way you pay so much when you buy a puppy some not only have to be born by c- section( which is basically all) but many have to be artifically insemnated with a syringe by a vet. this is not something you should do with just researching on the internet. if you are dead set on breeding her pair up with a a good stud research line that go back at least 20 years. second make sure to check all papers you have on her some breeders make it so that in your contract or sales agreement you do not breed them. if you do not have this ask the breeder if they know a stud and will help you breed her. But this is not to be consider lightly. Remember the process and procedures you are going to be putting a member of the family throughand the cost of it all. and always expect the unexpected.

You need to ask your vet. C-sections can vary from $200-3000. Quite a range!!!!!!! Not sure what a vet would charge to keep a dog for whelping. Mine would not do it. Someone would have to be with the dog all the time. If an emergency came up, they might not be watching your dog. And staying at a vet hospital with all the germs may not be a great idea either.
The vet should be able to tell you if he thinks she can free whelp. If he really doesn't think she will, he can schedule the section.

The last c-section I had to have done on a French bulldog cost me 110.00, that was every thing including anestetic! I love my vet, and he does a great job on my dogs.

You'd have to get an estimate from your vet on the delivery, maybe he'd let you use one of his rooms for little to nothing, and whelp the pups yourself, and only charge you more if you needed him.

If your dog decided to go into labor in the middle of the night I don't know how eager he will be to come in and watch her have a possibly un-eventful birth over several hours in the middle of hte night, he's more likely to give you his pager or home phone number, or refer you to an emergency vet for this.

Good luck with your dog and puppies!

This is one reason people shouldn't breed their dogs, if anything goes wrong the dog can die without vet care and you are going to end up spending a lot of money if she needs a Csection.

Get her spayed, the vet could possibly still do it now. Check into it, small dogs often have a hard time giving birth, it's dangerous.

Okay it takes 60-63 days from the time they got hooked up - did she have a hard labor before? or is the first? - Nature usually allows them to do it fine and at home!- We have small breeds and have bred them in the past (only to give family etc a pup) At the vet - will cost anywhere from 100.00- 500.00+ tops being with a c- section- Ours are small too and unless she has bred with a large dog u should be okay! The best and most important thing to do is when she is close to her time to give birth- put her in a room or area that is not too active and that way she will stay calm and feel secure- hope this helps - you can e-mail me too!

Right around 200.00 without C-section. Up to 2000.00 with.
