YOU pick one food and stick to it. Get a high quality food (Canidae, Innova, Evo, Timberwolf, Merrick, Wellness) and offer it to your picky eater! A dog will not allow himself to starve. He will eat when he gets hungry and he will especially eat when he sees you and your partner aren't going to jump through hoops for him anymore.
Stop switching his food, choose one. If you keep flip floping you can cause stomach issues (could absolutely be the reason he is turning up his nose to food) plus you are teaching him to expect something new and exciting every few days. Sometimes they need tough love :)
If he goes 3 days without eating then you know the problem goes beyond behavioral. Put the food out and see what he does. If he eats, GREAT! If not (after 3 days), then you need to be concerned about a health problem. With all the food fiasco's you may be missing a medical issue. My professional advice is to wait and see.

Try taking a few kibbles of dry dog food through out the day and giving them to him as 'snacks' to see if he will eat it like that. And once again as many others have stated, stick with the same food. It is very known that dogs will either stop eating or become sick from eating too many different kinds of foods. However one exception to this would be mixing canned or 'wet' foods with bagged or 'dry' dog food. And you are very welcome for all of my information.

Try him on some boiled chicken and white rice during that time he's not wanting his own. And be careful what kind of dog food you buy for him since the horrible pet food that was killing so many dogs and cats, I will only buy Newman's or Three Dog Bakery they do cost quite a bit more but they are certainly worth it and if you do try either of those on him you might find that he no longer will go through that not eating his food phase. Good Luck ;)

my husky loves food but can be fussy at times.he will eat really well and be really anxious to eat then gets a mouthfull and spits it out. he does this a lot with certian canned food. so i cook up hamb, chicken, beef and pork then add veggies or rice toss in a can of gravey and he is in dog heaven. they can go for a few days then eat continually and start the routine again.make sure his dish is always clean before he eats and try several small meals a day a little at a time. if he is healthy he will eat well when he is hungry enough.my 7 yr old is almost 100 lbs.

Depending on how old he is, he may be sick, or you are changing foods too often on him causing him to have an upset stomach.
Sure, he wants what you eat, what dog doesn't?
Stick with one food and he will eventually eat it.
I went through that with my labs.
When they are hungry enough, they WILL eat.
If he hasn't eaten in 3 days, call your vet to find if he is sick.
He may be constipated.

I asked the same questions as my 3 year old husky we adopted did not eat a proper meal for a week! I tried a answer of putting a little tiny bit of cheese with his meal and he ate the lot! dont want to make it a habbit but im so re-leaved! i also checked his gums and teeth for redness or swelling. He was unsure about the change of environment etc but now he is use to us and the cheese is the only thing that worked for him!

maybe he is eating things around the house that he souldn't, that could be upseting his stomach. Like maybe bits of plastic etc... My dog does that sometimes and vomits, and he doesn't eat much after that. It could also be that he doesn't like that taste of his food and really like people food.

He's got a gastrointestinal problem and part of it may be worms. Take him to the vet. He needs assistance.

If rover is finiky, try cracking a raw egg into the bowl of dried food, stir it all up and then give it to him/her. I guarantee that your dog will eat every morsal in the bowl.
